"Magia" (Latin for "Magic"), composed by Yuki Kajiura and performed by Kalafina, is the anime's ending theme. The song is also used as background music in certain scenes during the anime, such as Madoka's dream in episode 1. This ending is notorious for pitting the viewer in a sudden dark atmosphere after the twist in episode 3, whereas the previous episodes either had credits played over the episode (TV broadcast) or "Mata Ashita" used instead (Blu-ray).
