This is interesting... in the anime, Mami is wearing different clothes and she seems younger. Here, she is wearing her Mitakihara Middle School uniform and she looks about the same as in the anime. You could always chalk it up to there being differences in the timelines, though. Silvermoon424 00:00, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

I'm playing Kyoko's route and in the flashbacks she is like in the present. (Not in the CG's though)--84.77.58.17 00:15, 2 April 2012 (UTC)\
It's not that, the game has a limited number of set outfits, facial expressions and poses for each character (all of which are on the bonus CD). They are used for everything, including flashbacks and almost all the cutscenes match it, even when it differs from the anime. So I wouldn't read into it too much as "this is how they actually looked" so much as that's a game limitation where you're not going to get all the diversity of outfits, expressions, poses etc. that you would have in an anime presentation. --randomanon 00:29, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
This reminds me, there is a picture of Mami raiding in the back of the car with her family, do we have a better or higher quality image of it? --Mutopis 09:43, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
Moreover, is there a transcription or anything of the dialogue that went on between Mami and her parents? What were they talking about before the crash? Silvermoon424 20:54, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
I don't remember any talk going between them but Mami was calling them supposedly to tell them something important shortly before the truck accident happened. --SayakaVonSeckendorff 21:11, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
No, that wasn't the case. They came to pick Mami up from school to take her out to dinner, that's all. The parents don't have any dialogue, voiced or texted. You only see Mami having one-sided conversation where you have to assume the parents are saying appropriate things on the other end. Of interest is just prior to the accident, Mami was thinking she was very happy to have wonderful parents and friends at school and hoping it will continue like that..and then bam, accident. I'll fill more in routes when I finish the game (may not be for a few days though, due to RL) --randomanon 23:53, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
Oh I see, It would have been nice to hear their voices.--SayakaVonSeckendorff 00:12, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
One line of interest though related to the accident: When Kyubey shows up to make the contract, Mami asks what he is...if he's an angel or shinigami, then asks if he's there to steal her soul (私の魂を 奪いに来たの?). One of the better lines in the game, imo. --randomanon 00:15, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for filling us in, randomanon! It's very tragically ironic how Mami was thinking about how wonderful her life and parents are and then everything goes down the drain. And what Mami said to Kyubey is VERY fitting. He really is stealing their souls, in more ways than one. Silvermoon424 00:57, 3 April 2012 (UTC)

Mami asks what he is...if he's an angel or shinigami, then asks if he's there to steal her soul (私の魂を 奪いに来たの?). How did Kyubey responded to that question? Something tells me that rat tried to be indirect/enigmatic about it --Mutopis 06:12, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
Just said something like, "I'm not that. My name is Kyubey." --randomanon 07:50, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
Well, at least he didn't deny the "stealing soul" part... sin of omission... --Mutopis 12:46, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
