Hello! I wanted to inform you that the user you interacted with "What" to was a bot. In the future, I would recommend not interacting with them and to let moderators handle it. == Kuro ==

Just letting you know, but くろ and 黒 are not their last names – both are different ways of writing "kuro" in Japanese, so it's just a difference in spelling. Do you still think it's worth including that information on [[Kuro|this page]]? (I'm not trying to say it's not worth it; I'm letting you decide.) ~ [[User:Celtic Minstrel|Celtic Minstrel]] ([[User talk:Celtic Minstrel|talk]]) 06:17, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
:Honestly yeah, I know there's the little description next to their name but if Magireco added the くろ and 黒 as a way of differentiating them, I don't see why the kuro page shouldn't, and it helps me identify them quicker. (Also i got the idea of it being a last name because of [[Kuro (くろ)|Kuro's (くろ)]] etymology section where it calls it that) --[[User:TheresaFrog421|TheresaFrog421]] ([[User talk:TheresaFrog421|talk]]) 10:29, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
::I mean, sure, it is technically their last name. "Kuro" is presumed to be their surname, not their given name. But your phrasing seemed to imply you were thinking of "Kuro" as the first name and the Japanese characters as the surname, which is not the case. ~ [[User:Celtic Minstrel|Celtic Minstrel]] ([[User talk:Celtic Minstrel|talk]]) 14:34, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
:If you're talking about ''Magia Exedra Story Transcripts/Magia Record Main Story - Rumor of the Anonymous AI/Portrait Story'' then I wasn't the one who deleted the content, it was EPF (they created and edited the page so I can't blame them) I only added the deletion request category (I guess I can't prove it since the page is gone). The only proof are [[Puella Magi Madoka Magica Portable & Mami's Heart-Pounding Tiro Finale Grief Seeds]] and [[Minor Oriko Witches]] still having their content (I "moved" them to [[Madoka Magica Grief Seeds]] and [[Oriko Magica Witches]] respectively) - [[User:TheresaFrog421|TheresaFrog421]] ([[User talk:TheresaFrog421|talk]]) 20:05, 12 April 2025 (UTC)
:Yeah I'm not the one who extracted them out of the files so I can't really find them on my own. I was hoping to get them through EPF's google drive but it seems like theyre not updating it currently so I got them from the Exedra wiki. == Gallery moves!? ==

Wait, why are all the gallery pages being moved? We already went to the trouble of making Gallery: be a proper namespace. What's the problem with having the galleries in their own namespace? Is there some reason why they absolutely have to be subpages? ~ [[User:Celtic Minstrel|Celtic Minstrel]] ([[User talk:Celtic Minstrel|talk]]) 04:45, 7 July 2025 (UTC)
:At first I saw Amaterasu doing it, and since I was changing [[Template:Navbox Anime Gallery]] I decided to just go with it and start moving them. Tbh I shouldn't bring Amaterasu into this but since they're way longer on this wiki and their changes were just left unquestioned I assumed everyone was okay with them, and I wanted to help ཀ ʖ̯ ཀ. I can still change them back even if it takes time but please while you're here delete the redirects I put in [[:Category:Deletion requests|deletion requests]], they're extremely unnecessary. - [[User:TheresaFrog421|TheresaFrog421]] ([[User talk:TheresaFrog421|talk]]) 12:35, 7 July 2025 (UTC)
::The use of subpages is more efficient, in my view. It allows you to quickly link back to the main page, and I think it's better than simply using "Gallery:", since it also makes it clear that it isn't a new page, simply a part of the page. I probably didn't explain this well, I just woke up. ~ [[User:Amaterasu|Amaterasu]] ([[User talk:Amaterasu|talk]]) 12:42, 7 July 2025 (UTC)

:::Yeah, I agree with gallery subpages too. Another bonus is searchability - you have to preface everything with Gallery: if you wanna search for pages in that namespace, they don't appear otherwise. Which kinda sucks. However I'm also pretty sure we're using some cursed old search extension. [[User:EPF|EPF]] ([[User talk:EPF|talk]]) 17:16, 7 July 2025 (UTC)

::::Though, you could also argue that not appearing in searches is a ''good'' thing. Someone searching is more likely to want the article than the gallery. ~ [[User:Celtic Minstrel|Celtic Minstrel]] ([[User talk:Celtic Minstrel|talk]]) 00:01, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
Regarding [https://wiki.puella-magi.net/w/index.php?title=Template:Witch_Card&diff=next&oldid=193460 this edit]: I'm not sure what you were going for, but you misspelled "margin-top". :Tried checking it again and it still doesn't work, on some pages the name box appears on the same position as the witch display but on others (like [[Minor Magia Record Witches and Doppels]]) its a little bit lower, it might be some other part of the code though. - [[User:TheresaFrog421|TheresaFrog421]] ([[User talk:TheresaFrog421|talk]]) 09:32, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
== Tabbers ==

I noticed you're experimenting with the new <nowiki><tabber></nowiki> tag that was recently installed. Please be sure to watch out for pages that link to specific tabs, as the fragment (the part after <code>#</code>) completely changes with the new system. So, just changing a page to use the new tabs instead of the old potentially breaks links silently with no warning at all. ~ [[User:Celtic Minstrel|Celtic Minstrel]] ([[User talk:Celtic Minstrel|talk]]) 04:25, 25 July 2025 (UTC)
== Star ==

Why are you changing the star? The memoria cards clearly use eight-pointed stars, not five-pointed stars. That's why I used an eight-pointed star in the category names. ~ [[User:Celtic Minstrel|Celtic Minstrel]] ([[User talk:Celtic Minstrel|talk]])
:I checked and it just doesn't work on Safari, even if its made with html (&#x1F7CE;). Ive found ones that work, ✵ and ✴ (there are other eight-pointed stars but only these are rotated correctly), I prefer the first one. - [[User:TheresaFrog421|TheresaFrog421]] ([[User talk:TheresaFrog421|talk]]) 17:20, 13 August 2025 (UTC)
::So basically it's an issue of you don't have a font with that character. Of the two stars you found that ''do'' work though, I think the second is actually more suitable. The first is "eight-pointed pinwheel star", and it's not solid black unlike the other two. ~ [[User:Celtic Minstrel|Celtic Minstrel]] ([[User talk:Celtic Minstrel|talk]]) 22:59, 13 August 2025 (UTC)
== Templates category ==

Is there any actual point in [[:Category:Templates]]? If you need a list of all templates on the wiki, [[Special:AllPages]] is clearly better (no need to manually categorize them all). Other template categories are fine, but I don't see the point of that one. (Maybe there ''is'' a point I'm missing? == Progress Reports ==
I'm not good with css, or templates, but I was thinking if we could make a template similar to the progress report at the bottom of [[Timeline]]? I was thinking a way to just list the entries as integrated/finished and non-finished and then have the progress bar automatically update. Perhaps even only using parts of them in the articles they belong (like the Timeline for Null only has the progress report for Null) but Timeline has all of them (as well as additional lists for Retellings and Unknown Placement). I can make the lists and fill them in, but I wondered if it would be possible to make that asset as a template that can be edited, so that it can be universal across pages that use it. ~ [[User:Sweet Beanie|Sweet Beanie]] ([[User talk:Sweet Beanie|talk]]) 16:04, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
:What exactly do you mean by "automatically update"? It's a bit vague, and sounds like it could be quite tricky. ~ [[User:Celtic Minstrel|Celtic Minstrel]] ([[User talk:Celtic Minstrel|talk]]) 16:07, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
:: I mean the progress bar automatically updates in accordance to what is finised and what is not finished. (Like if the finished list has three elements and the unfinished has two, the progress bar would automatically just calculate to 60%). To also explain the example with Null that I brought up: the template, when its used on pages, can just be edited to which parts are visible and which aren't. ~ [[User:Sweet Beanie|Sweet Beanie]] ([[User talk:Sweet Beanie|talk]]) 16:10, 1 July 2026 (UTC)

: I think maybe with [[Module:ArrayParameter]] it could be possible? To list something you would have to put it in a new parameter, and im pretty sure Array Parameter can count how many parameters there are (if done right obv). Then just do some math to show how much is done in %. - [[User:TheresaFrog421|TheresaFrog421]] ([[User talk:TheresaFrog421|talk]]) 16:11, 1 July 2026 (UTC)

::So basically you're saying that completion percentage would be based on comparing a "target list" with a "completed list"? It sounds doable, but probably not easy, and likely requires a module to do properly. (Not [[Module:ArrayParameter]], but a dedicated module just for this purpose.) ~ [[User:Celtic Minstrel|Celtic Minstrel]] ([[User talk:Celtic Minstrel|talk]]) 16:15, 1 July 2026 (UTC)

::: It works right now but is kinda annoying when trying to change not done stuff to done (cause you have to change a lot of numbers). I still dont think its worth its own module, but maybe theres some way to make it count the <code>*</code>s in a parameter and then calculate the progress bar with that? - [[User:TheresaFrog421|TheresaFrog421]] ([[User talk:TheresaFrog421|talk]]) 00:26, 3 July 2026 (UTC)

::: You can see my example at [[User:TheresaFrog421/Sandbox#Template]], its messy and looks bad but what counts is that it works. - [[User:TheresaFrog421|TheresaFrog421]] ([[User talk:TheresaFrog421|talk]]) 16:27, 1 July 2026 (UTC)

:::: Okay I improved it to look like it does on [[Timeline]] (not 1:1 but thats not possible). - [[User:TheresaFrog421|TheresaFrog421]] ([[User talk:TheresaFrog421|talk]]) 17:13, 1 July 2026 (UTC)

::::: Oh that's perfect! Can we make it so that it's usable for the files? Or at least for [[Timeline]]? I can then populate each entry for each timeline, as well as the Retellings and Unknown Placement like before. ~ [[User:Sweet Beanie|Sweet Beanie]] ([[User talk:Sweet Beanie|talk]]) 17:48, 1 July 2026 (UTC)

: I do think it's worth its own module. Then you could write it like this:
<pre>{{Progress
|done1=thing
|done2=thing
|notdone3=thing
|done4=thing
|done5=thing
|notdone6=thing
}}</pre>
: The key point there being that done and not done elements share the same numerical sequence, so marking something done is just a matter of deleting "not". ~ [[User:Celtic Minstrel|Celtic Minstrel]] ([[User talk:Celtic Minstrel|talk]]) 00:51, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
If it's expected to ''always'' be a straight bulleted list without any tree structures, then I think it makes more sense for those *'s to be in the template instead of in the page; whereas if there's any tree structures, or any situation where it wouldn't be a bulleted list, then counting the *'s gives the wrong answer. ~ [[User:Celtic Minstrel|Celtic Minstrel]] ([[User talk:Celtic Minstrel|talk]]) 01:38, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
What do you like most about the witches? Your profile implies you do, since a section asks for more witch content. I also wish more witch lore. Like for example how exactly familiars grow into witches, we are told little about it.
Or how much of the magical girl's soul is 'lost' when turning into a grief seed. It looks to me like the main personality is shed and only the subconscious ego remains as a witch.
You can check my profile for some of my old contributions [[User:Miho Yamamura|Miho Yamamura]] ([[User talk:Miho Yamamura|talk]])

I honestly like everything, but if I HAD to choose its probably the striking difference between a Magical Girl and a Witch, I mean Sayaka has only 3 colors in her outfit but Oktavia has so many, to me it feels like what the person looks if they werent bound by a human body. About the familiars, I wish we got more proof of familiars growing into Witches ''and being diffrent''. Im pretty sure Sarah Mirabilis W confirms that its been thought of, but other cases in Magia Record just reuse the original Witch's design and that's a bummer _ _". About the Magical Girls' Souls, honestly Ive thought about this too... I prefer to think that its still there, but maybe its permamently damaged/bound, in a way that doesn't let them move on? Like Homulilly, she forever tries to reach a guillotine but she never will, implying that she can't really evolve any further, that's what I mean by being "bound". This would also explain why a Witch cant turn back into a Magical Girl, because while Hope can transform into Despair, Despair cant turn into Hope. - [[User:TheresaFrog421|TheresaFrog421]] ([[User talk:TheresaFrog421|talk]]) 18:39, 20 July 2026 (UTC)

I doubt the soul is still whole. When we see Sayaka Soul gem turn grief seed, we see the outer shell breaks and the grief seed inside is already manifesting.
So the hypothesis is this. The impurities are coagulating into the grief seed and when it's too much to bear, the soul sheds parts of itself. The gem breaks, part of the girl's soul and very identity is gone.
Perhaps it's caught by Kyubey in the process and converted into energy. Perhaps it just dissipates. The witch is what remains. The witch is not the girl anymore. It's a remnant of who she was. Like a series of memories but incomplete. Like a fever dream or nightmare.
The evidence is how Oktavia still had a vague Sayaka shape, but it was melting. Homura is the outlier because her soul gem never broke, so she never went into a real witch.
If Hope can turn into Despair, Despair can also turn into hope. But Witches are different because of the soul being an actual thing that can be damaged and destroyed. Not so sure on doppels, but they break the rules anyways. [[User:Miho Yamamura|Miho Yamamura]] ([[User talk:Miho Yamamura|talk]]) 18:04, 2 August 2026 (UTC)
== About the images used by the Magia Record Stats template ==

If I didn’t miss anything, I think I’ve finally renamed all of the Magia Record card images to the Card_(id)_c.png format. I also changed the Magia Record Stats template so that it generates the image filename directly from the ID, and fixed all the pages that were still linking to the old/wrong filenames... 😭

There is one small issue, though: Darc (Final)’s 5★ card image (Card_40285_c.png) is the version with the frame, while the frameless version comes from Magia Exedra and is currently uploaded as Card_40285_c (Exedra).png.

So I’m wondering which would be better: Keep a little flexibility in the template, so that if an image filename is specified manually, it uses that instead of generating one from the ID; or Just keep things simple and replace Card_40285_c.png with the frameless Exedra version?

Also, I noticed that in Magia Exedra’s Archive, Lil' Kyubey’s card image actually includes the character name. Also separating the JP and NA means all the japanese wouldn't be on the NA page, and would that mean english shouldnt be on the JP page? Thanks!

I think that's ''kind of'' a stretch.

Sasa Yuuki isn't even from Record (from Oriko) and mostly just shares the fact that they have a Jester Theme. Alexandra is the only one I think actually looks like a reused design. Meiyui doesn't even use the same weapon.

---

Plus in Null, there's literally ''one'' actual Magical girl and it's not like her design is super great. https://wiki.puella-magi.net/Coeurl

Kyubey-Kosane doesn't really make sense as a unit unless they start adding non-magical girl units.
I guess Homo Magica, even though they are debatably magical girls? I kind of want to see them expanded on. Them interfering with the Lighthouse might be an interesting way to introduce them.
They screwed a lot with the time-stream/different universes in the source material.
== Gallery moves!? ==

:::Yeah, I agree with gallery subpages too. Another bonus is searchability - you have to preface everything with Gallery: if you wanna search for pages in that namespace, they don't appear otherwise. Which kinda sucks. Please be sure to watch out for pages that link to specific tabs, as the fragment (the part after <code>#</code>) completely changes with the new system.

::::: Oh that's perfect! Can we make it so that it's usable for the files? Or at least for [[Timeline]]?
: I do think it's worth its own module. Then you could write it like this:
<pre>{{Progress
|done1=thing
|done2=thing
|notdone3=thing
|done4=thing
|done5=thing
|notdone6=thing
}}</pre>
: The key point there being that done and not done elements share the same numerical sequence, so marking something done is just a matter of deleting "not". ~ [[User:Celtic Minstrel|Celtic Minstrel]] ([[User talk:Celtic Minstrel|talk]]) 00:51, 3 July 2026 (UTC)

:: That would already be nicer than the current setup but if the module could just count the amount of bulleted point items it would be even easier, it would look like this:
<pre>{{Progress
|done=
* Thing
* Thing
* Thing
|notdone=
* Thing
}}</pre>
:::It can do pretty much anything, so counting the *'s is certainly possible. I'm not too happy with that idea though.
:::: I mean yeah but in both scenarios its a bulleted list, I dont really know what other lists it could be, at most one where #s are used, or a tree list, but in both scenarios those can be easily managed no?

I think I'd prioritize showing the JP skill set, as it can be seen as an evolution from the NA skill set. Since neither game is still up and playable, it doesn't seem worth recording the differences in her NA stats as a separate unit page, though if you really want to do so, I don't mind. I think that's ''kind of'' a stretch.

Sasa Yuuki isn't even from Record (from Oriko) and mostly just shares the fact that they have a Jester Theme. Alexandra is the only one I think actually looks like a reused design. Meiyui doesn't even use the same weapon.

== Gallery moves!? ==

:::Yeah, I agree with gallery subpages too. Another bonus is searchability - you have to preface everything with Gallery: if you wanna search for pages in that namespace, they don't appear otherwise. Which kinda sucks. I noticed you're experimenting with the new <nowiki><tabber></nowiki> tag that was recently installed. Please be sure to watch out for pages that link to specific tabs, as the fragment (the part after <code>#</code>) completely changes with the new system.

<pre>{{Progress
|done=
* Thing
* Thing
* Thing
|notdone=
* Thing
}}</pre>
:::It can do pretty much anything, so counting the *'s is certainly possible. I'm not too happy with that idea though.
:::: I mean yeah but in both scenarios its a bulleted list, I dont really know what other lists it could be, at most one where #s are used, or a tree list, but in both scenarios those can be easily managed no? I mean the #s can be counted with the *s and for a tree structure, if a <code>:*</code> is used instead of <code>**</code>, it shouldn't change anything. - [[User:TheresaFrog421|TheresaFrog421]] ([[User talk:TheresaFrog421|talk]]) 02:14, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
::::: Still, with your method, the edit to mark something done will show as deleting it from "not done" and adding it to "done", whereas with my method it will show as "changing it from not done to done". It might not make much difference if only one or two are marked done, but if you mark several done all at once I think it would look messier with your method. ~ [[User:Celtic Minstrel|Celtic Minstrel]] ([[User talk:Celtic Minstrel|talk]]) 22:51, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
:::::: I think it all depends on how it will look on the page itself really, right now the done and not done are fully separated, which my idea would fit better. But if it looked like:

I added the enemy list for Please Yuna-san, but I ran into one issue. Sakuya, Ranka, Ao, and Hikaru appear as regular enemies in Waves 1–4 of the Hundred Evils Challenge stage, but they also appear as bosses in Wave 5. In this case, should they be split into separate Boss and non-Boss entries? - [[User:Hilbert88|Hilbert88]] ([[User talk:Hilbert88|talk]]) 20:24, 3 July 2026 (UTC)
: Yeah then both should be listed. Also do you have a good source of what enemies appear in what events? I can understand wanting to keep the "official" translations but when they're done poorly and incorrect more often than not, we probably want to keep better translations *somewhere*. In the case of Paola there's specifically items missing from the official translation present in the original JP text... that's kinda significant.

: I just think they're quite useless, yeah they're analyses of behaviour, but a lot of it just seems like thoughts that just don't fit on a wiki, more fitting on a personal page. Plus a lot of stuff there would be better off in other sections, such as behaviour in the Personality section, and stuff about design in the Appearance section. I just don't like those sections for how much they feel like they don't fit into a wiki. - [[User:TheresaFrog421|TheresaFrog421]] ([[User talk:TheresaFrog421|talk]]) 08:18, 31 July 2026 (UTC)
:: Okay, sure, some of it is better fit for trivia... but that isn't what you're doing. It *is* scholarly analysis. traditional wikis do not do such a thing, but THIS WIKI has a decade plus history of doing so. As such.... Either leaving it, or labeling it similarly to how the Speculation blocks are done that "this isn't fact but is important." is important in my mind. ::: I mean if you care about them that much, then I'm sure there are others too. I will bring them back, but I still plan on cutting some of the points out, like for Kazumi I dont think there's a point in keeping these:

Should we consider switching to that version, or should we keep using the current version without the character name? -- [[User:Hilbert88|Hilbert88]] ([[User talk:Hilbert88|talk]]) 18:27, 15 August 2026 (UTC)
:Thank you ^^, I think uploading the frameless version as the main one is the better option, and for Lil' Kyubey I think the Exedra versions could be better? Also separating the JP and NA means all the japanese wouldn't be on the NA page, and would that mean english shouldnt be on the JP page? I feel like it creates problems and we should try to fuse them instead (Im pretty sure Mami also has a tiny NA difference?
:::::: Looking at the differences, they seem to almost all be of the "rebalancing" category and not a fundamental difference in her powerset. (After all, Charm and Bewitch are the same thing, right?) I guess "Guaranteed Ignore Damage Cut" and "Blast MP Gain UP" are new, though. I think I'd prioritize showing the JP skill set, as it can be seen as an evolution from the NA skill set. Since neither game is still up and playable, it doesn't seem worth recording the differences in her NA stats as a separate unit page, though if you really want to do so, I don't mind. == Regarding Mobage/Online ==

I wonder, why do you think Exedra adapting Mobage/Online is so unlikely that they would be less likely than Null? Null is insanely weird and unusual for PMMM and the 3rd chapter especially is a complete mindfuck. Even I'm not 100% sure what's going on.

Just curious. I really liked reading through your user page.
:As weird as Null Magical Girl is, I think just because its recent it has a bigger chance. To be fair, both Null and Mobage haven't been referenced in any other media so they do kinda have the same chances, but still, I think just because Null is more recent, it has a bigger chance. ALSO another thing that kinda makes me believe Mobage won't ever see the light of day is that every single character design idea they used for the 4 Mobage girls has been reused I mean...

But yeah in both cases, Exedra is unlikely to get to them until many more years into its life.
