* It is suggested that Charlotte's design was changed to make her more expressive.
* Bebe actually talks to the other characters. When she speaks, bubbles with kanji appear from her mouth, though the noises she makes are just gibberish. The other characters appear to understand her just fine, and subtitles appear to let the viewer know what she's saying.
* Bebe is shown to be extremely close to Mami. Mami even says that if she didn't meet Bebe she would have fallen into despair long ago.

*Watching carefully one can see that when Charlotte's second form gets injured a new Charlotte comes out of the mouth replacing the old as if the layers are being blown away.
*Charlotte reveals witches' kisses differ from witch to witch.

*Her second form seems to be visually based on - or inspired by Japanese modern artist [[wikipedia:Takashi Murakami|Takashi Murakami]]'s art.
*Charlotte might have been a cancer patient. Patients undergoing chemotherapy are unable to eat certain foods such as cheese. This would explain her hospital-based labyrinth theme and the location of her grief seed. Kyubey is likely to target terminally ill girls.
**In that case, her caterpillar-like second form would represent unlimited reproduction of cancer cells.
*A fan theory about Charlotte's life as a magical girl has a number of similarities to {{Spoiler|Airi}}, from [[Kazumi Magica]]. {{Spoiler|Like Airi, she was a hospital patient and she wished to live and enjoy eating, just like Charlotte's obsession with cheese. Plus, both become witches.}}

*Assuming the cancer patient theory, she could have wished herself able to eat sweets without consequences. Such a wish would have likely cured her, but the selfishness of it -- compared to, for instance, wishing cancer didn't exist saving tons of people -- could have driven her toward becoming a witch. Her double form would then represent the guilt eating away at her: though she looked like an innocent girl, she felt like she was a selfish monster.
*The [[Puella_Magi_Madoka_Magica_Official_Guidebook_"You_Are_Not_Alone"#Witch_Design|Guidebook line]] on Charlotte indicates that it was Charlotte's mother who was ill. One speculation is that her mother loved food, especially cheese and sweets, and often shared them with Charlotte. When Kyubey approached during an emotional moment, Charlotte wished to share a cake with her mother one last time. After they ate the cake and the mother died, Charlotte realized that she could have wished to cure her mother, and quickly became a witch. Cheese, which Charlotte cannot create in her labyrinth, represents her mother.
**Since the shock of such a realization could darken a soul gem very quickly (much like the speed with which Homura's darkened in Episode 11), this theory allows for the possibility that Kyubey contracted Charlotte while Madoka and Sayaka were visiting the hospital in [[Episode 3]].
***Perhaps Kyubey was hanging around on Madoka's shoulder, telepathically eavesdropping on people in the hospital, and heard Charlotte and her mother. "Charlotte, I wish I could eat cake with you one last time before I die." Kyubey sent one of his other bodies to make a contract. Once the cake was finished and they said their goodbyes, the wording of the wish caused the mother to die on the spot, and then Kyubey wondered out loud why Charlotte didn't wish to cure the disease instead. Instant witch, and he stuck the new grief seed into the wall where Madoka and Sayaka were headed to pressure them into contracting.
**The last two lines from the guidebook seem to imply that Charlotte had actually considered wishing for her mother to be healed, but simply never made said wish on the grounds of "But that wish is impossible, isn't it?" It seems very likely that once QB had actually granted said wish and made her into a magical girl, she saw that impossible things really could happen and was either driven into immediate regret and despair or she slowly broke down and destroyed herself with never ending questions and doubts.
** It should be mentioned the guidebooks clearly indicate prototype witches, and that there were significant differences between what was described in the guidebook and in the anime (see the Witch of cheesecake, below).
*Charlotte and Mami Tomoe could also be linked to the story “Hansel and Gretel". The witch in Hansel and Gretel lives in a house made of gingerbread, cake and candy, similar to Charlotte's barrier. The witch's intent is to eat the children, which is also like Charlotte's behavior.

They fly in flocks, but their headgear impairs their vision, and they have a habit of ramming into moving objects. In addition to their usual size, there are also gigantic Brocken-types.

As they are under the direct command of the Mermaid Witch, the influence of her magic has changed their appearances. The medals on their chests are a treasure added by the Rose Garden Witch.

The official website explains that one of the features will be a "Kyubey Button" that allows the player to assume Kyubey's point of view. The player can then choose Kyubey's dialogue, which can be used to convince characters into contracting, power them up in battle, turn them into witches, or stop them from turning into witches. Story branches will be determined by when the girls contract or turn into witches, if that even happens.

Interestingly, it seems that some of Kyubey's dialogue choices may be comedic in nature. A picture on the website shows the dialogue choices available for Kyubey during the appearance of Charlotte's Grief Seed. One of them is "Wanna go eat hamburgers?"

According to an issue of ''Dengeki Playstation'', the story will be told from Homura's perspective. The bonus disc that comes with the game (a BD in the Special Edition, and a DVD in the standard edition) will have videos, music, comments from voice actresses, PS3 and PC wallpapers, and illustrations locked with passwords that can be found by playing the game itself.

According to the [[Dengeki PSP Volume 3]], there are 2 main values to determine girls' fate.
* Karma value (因果值): This can be changed before she become a magical girl during dialogue. It will determine if she will become a magical girl, and how powerful she will be when she contracts.
* Emotion value (感情值): This will be changed after she becomes a magical girl. It is a factor of a magical girl's combat power. But she will become a witch if the value is too high.

On August 28, Bandai Namco Games held a promotional event for the Madoka PSP game at the Chara-Hobby 2011 convention. Game producers Yusuke Tomizawa of Bandai Namco Games and Yukinao Doi from Nitroplus were present at this event to talk about the development of the game. Anime and game seiyuu Chiwa Saito (Homura Akemi), Kaori Mizuhashi (Mami Tomoe) and Eri Kitamura (Sayaka Miki) also joined to discuss the game and answer questions.

There was another promotion event held on October 10th at Tokushima that also received some coverage.

== Mami's Heart Pounding Tiro Finale ==

On October 7th, the game's official website revealed that a smartphone app known as ''マミのドキドキティロ・フィナーレ'' (''Mami's Heart-Pounding Tiro Finale'') would be released on October 14th to promote the game. On October 11th, a preview video of the app appeared on the website. According to news sources, new content will be revealed on the website depending on how many players play the game and how well they do.

The game itself appears to be a battle between Mami and Charlotte, with Madoka and Sayaka watching in the background. The game is now downloadable in both Apple's App Store and Android market, but only in Japan or with a Japan App Store account.

Shortly after the app was released players unlocked a box illustration for the game on the website.

=== Gameplay ===
Touch lower-left circle to control muskets' direction, and press ATTACK button in the lower-right corner to fire. There are 5 platforms on which Mami can stand. To move to another platform, turn left or right and then press JUMP button. Platforms may be damaged by familiars hitting it, and Mami will fall if it is broken. But don't worry, Mami can jump to another platform even if she falls, and broken platform will be rebuilt after a while. The game will be over when either the barrier to protect Madoka and Sayaka gets broken, or Mami's soul gem gets exhausted.

After some shooting, the magic gauge in the lower-middle will get increased. You can fire special attack by pressing the gauge when it reaches some value. The most powerful attack -- Tiro Finale -- can be fired when the gauge almost reaches the maximum, and all familiars on the screen will be wiped out. There are still other attacks on lower values.

There are 2 modes can be played. In normal mode, the game will end after Charlotte is beaten. In endless mode, Mami gets a grief seed to recover 30 points of her soul gem after the witch defeated, but then the game will start over until you lose.

Currently it seem only 2 stages available. There might be new witches to defeat in the future.

One thing I noticed that I haven't seen mentioned on in this talk page or on the main 'secret project' page was the contents of the description field when you bookmark the page (found through right click bookmark -> properties) it says: "魔法少女まどか☆マギカ　「　　　　　　　　」　－　本ページの内容に関するご質問には、お答えいたしかねます。この後の「魔法少女まどか☆マギカ」の展開を、どうぞ楽しみにお待ちください。" which when machine translated sounds similar to the first entry in the site's FAQ.
