Rion's unique magic is called Bind, which allows her to restrain her opponents. Himena described this ability as similar to Mami’s and has demonstrated its use by halting the movement of Winchester’s familiars. Rion can also generate light attacks in the form of pink hearts or yellow stars.

Rion’s wish resulted in the creation of two distinct timelines: one where Hotori is alive and another where she is not and Rion was placed into the timeline where Hotori survived. To maintain consistency within this altered reality, certain memories had to be rewritten, ensuring the timeline’s stability and coherence until they joined again.

As described by Himena, Hotori wields a unique magic called Call of Name or Evocation. This power allows herself, or others, to grow stronger whenever she boldly declares them or their name. Her magic also intimidates the opponents of those she evocates, weakening their defenses and making them more susceptible to attacks. Himena has utilized Hotori's magic to cause Winchester's familiars to flinch.

As a result of her wish, the consciousness or soul of her boyfriend now resides in her mind after he committed suicide, allowing them to mentally communicate. In [[Magia_Record_Another_Story_Part_2_Chapter_8|Arc 2 Another Story Chapter 8]], [[Kanagi]] confirms his presence, indicating that he is not an illusion or delusion on Himena's part.

Himena's unique magic allows her to "synthesize" or "fuse" the unique magic of other Magical Girls for a limited time (approximately one hour) by making physical contact with each one involved. Hikaru and [[Yuna]] are hanging out at Yuna’s place and watching TV. On the screen, the TV reporter is talking about the water-rescue dogs that are being trained at the beach. Yuna things it’s amazing that simple dogs can be trained to rescue people. Hikaru notices Yuna praising the dogs and mentions that she knows how to swim too. Yuna nods and says she had heard that Hikaru was a good swimmer then turns her attention back to the screen. She comments on how cute the dogs are as Hikaru realizes that a bunch of lame dogs are getting more praise from Yuna than Hikaru usually does. When Hikaru arrives home, she looks around for her swimsuit. She soon finds it and says now all she has to do is wait for an opportunity.

Over the next few days, Hikaru sticks close to Yuna’s side whenever she happens to venture near the beach. When Yuna goes to check out a shop that [[Juri]] mentioned, Hikaru points to the sea and mentions how beautiful it is. When their people have a small scuffle near the ports, Hikaru suggests they go to the seaside to see if there’s anyone that’s injured there. Several days later and both Hikaru and Yuna are searching for traces of a Witch they sensed near the beach. Yuna asks Hikaru what’s wrong and mentions how fidgety and restless she’s been lately. Hikaru says it’s nothing but even Yuna has noticed that Hikaru has been following her around more everytime she goes near the sea. Hikaru assures her once more that it’s nothing and even tries to laugh it off. Inwardly Hikaru begins to chide herself for thinking that such a convenient opportunity would ever come up. Just then they hear a woman’s voice crying out for help. A woman is frantically crying out for help since her child has fallen into the ocean and could drown. Hikaru turns to Yuna and asks her if she should go help, but Yuna tells her to calm down and says she could drown as well if she jumps in with her clothes on. But Hikaru figured something like this might happen and came prepared. Hikaru tosses off her regular clothes to reveal she’s been wearing her swimsuit underneath her clothes this entire time. Hikaru once more asks Yuna for her orders, and Yuna, completely thrown off by this, asks her to go help the woman. Hikaru nods and immediately jumps into the water to rescue the drowning girl.

The woman and her child thank Hikaru for everything but Hikaru is just happy to help. Yuna tells her great job as Hikaru asks if Yuna didn’t see her easily rescue those people and casually mentions how much more useful she is than a water-rescue dog. Yuna nods, finally understanding why Hikaru had been wearing her swimsuit underneath her clothes. Hikaru is ready to prove her usefulness at any moment. Yuna asks Hikaru why she’s trying to compete with dogs like some kind of elementary school kid. She tells Hikaru to not wear her swimsuit under her clothes anymore. When Hikaru asks if that’s an order, Yuna tells her it’s just common sense since emergency situations that deal with swimming don’t happen often. Hikaru hangs her head after being scolded for being silly. Still, Yuna thinks they still learned something that day: if ever there came a time when their team is drowning in the ocean she knows they’ll be alright as long as Hikaru is around. Hikaru perks up at these words of praise as Yuna tells her she’s her trusted confidant and to be more confident in herself. Hikaru smiles and says she understands.

Curious, Yuna comes over to see what’s going on, causing Hikaru to become flustered and deny any suspicions, though the blushing on her face was more than enough evidence. Just as Yuna asks if she has something on her mind, Ao pops up and shows that she’s finished her homework, prompting everyone to sit down for dinner, much to Hikaru’s relief.

An Uwasa who created the Uwasa Aquarium and Ryūgū-jō for her loved ones. She continues to learn various emotions through the hospitality of others, but still can't understand why people are scared of ghost stories. She fights alongside her ocean friends.

Touka, Nemu, Ui and Sakurako will be having a one night stay at the beach, so as per tradition, Touka wants everyone to think of a ghost story the listeners will remember for life.

While Sakurako knows fear since she experienced her moms forgetting about her and losing Ui once during part 1's fiasco, she thinks this is different from the fear one feels after listening to ghosts stories. Thus, she seeks Hinano, Ryo and Ikumi for help.

They went to the site to share their stories with Sakurako, but realized her rational thinking as a Rumor make it hard for her to feel that kind of fear. In the process, they even played the day away.

Eventually, they decide that since the goal is to make the kids scared, Sakurako really doesn't need to know that kind of fear anyway. Together, the four create a story which is a mix of what they shared and experienced today with Hinano trio agreeing to help in strengthening the atmosphere.

Sakurako began her story on the day itself when Touka and friends played together. She mixed her actions with her story, and with Hinano trio's visual aids, it is enough to frighten Touka, Nemu and Ui as they were convinced that Sakurako is possessed.

Touka trio are frightened to tears, with Touka trying to convince herself that ghosts are not scientific as she cries, Nemu is frightened speechless and Ui is calling out for Iroha. The fear is strengthened when Hinano trio went to check out why Sakurako is not following the plan.

Seems like Sakurako is also frightened silly when she sees Touka trio busting into fear. Eventually, she gets a scolding despite the fact Touka trio did enjoy the experience and is happy to see how serious she is in the process.

Hinano, Ryo, Ikumi and Sakurako were forced out of the room as per Touka's form of punishment, agreeing that they went too far, forgetting their targets were kids. Hinano is partly amused and partly surprised at how frightened Touka and Nemu were despite their normal composure.

Sakurako concludes that she learned the fear of ghost stories: it made her worry if Touka, Nemu and Ui will dislike her for making them too afraid. Miyako points out that is not the point.

==Summary==
A magical girl who took on the appearance of a dragon god, who is said to have been the founder of the Tatsuki family. Her New Year's resolution is to "calm the ripples within her mirror", but there is currently little hope that she'll be able to achieve it. She has a golden mallet of fortune, but when she shakes it, it doesn't grant her wishes, so she's struggling to do something about it on her own.

The Doppel of assault. Its form is a Mikoshi. The master of this emotion is hesitant to stand out so much, but seems to be enjoying herself nonetheless.
The Doppel converts the size of its master’s joy into light that radiates from within its body. On top of that, it also expresses said joy by causing money and treasures such as koban coins to erupt from the places it attacks. Those who are blinded by its wicked light and swarm to it like flies will be struck on the head by the Doppel, as if to say “how dare you succumb to worldly passions so soon after New Year’s!”. This rids them of their worldly passions… but also their life, so nobody actually manages to grab hold of the treasure.
The Doppel also fears that its brightly-shining master is actually the one most consumed by worldly passion, but it’s turning a blind eye.

In Chapter 12 of Arc 2 is revealed, by [[Himena Aika]], that Ashley's power is "Reversal". Himena takes Ashely's power (along side other magical girls power) with her Synthesis unique ability to fight back the witch copies made by the mirror witch Winchester. According to Himena, Ashley's magic can be described as "the power to reverse what is received.", meaning that this power allows Ashley to change the power or magical effects onto something or someone else, including herself. In this case Himena used Ashley's power to "reverse" the empowerment magic she used on those witches unto herself to defeat them.

Due to the nature of her wish, her control of Kumanosuke in in-game battle, and its mirroring of her movement in her transformation animation, it can be speculated that Ashley has the ability to manipulate the movements (at least) of objects and/or people in addition to her main power.

==Etymology==
*Her first name means "ash tree forest/meadow".
** Her theorized original name, Chelsea, is thought to mean "chalk wharf". It may be a humorous reference to the fact that she is one of the franchise's few white (as in Western) characters.
*Her surname is an occupational name for a tailor, someone who professionally works with clothing. This references Ashley's interest in fashion, especially kawaii and gurokawa styles.
** Her original surname, Moran, may be a reference to one of several notable American actresses with the same surname.

==Trivia==
* As she was an NA-server exclusive, she is the first and only character to have exclusively English voicelines.
** All of her voicelines were later re-recorded in Japanese for her re-release on the Japanese server.
* Although she is a four-star, she did not have a Doppel on release. It was timelocked until the 29th of June 2020.
* She was the first magical girl to have four of the same disks (in this case Blast) and was the only magical girl until the release of [[Akuma Homura-chan]] to not have all three kinds of disks, having no Charge disk.
* In her personal story, [[Candy]] and her Familiars are encountered in [[Durbar|Durbar's]] labyrinth.
** In cutscenes, though, they are properly depicted as being in Candy's Labyrinth.
* Her personal story implies that the Labyrinths (and presumably Witches and Familiars) in Japan, or at least Kamihama specifically, may in some way look different from those she encountered in America: "So this is a Japanese Labyrinth... or should I say, a Kamihama Labyrinth... Kinda grotesque, kinda kawaii... I love it!"
* As she received Kumanosuke ''after'' she became a magical girl and moved to Japan, it is unknown what Ashley's original weapon was or how she initially fought.
** In her login story, she mentions that Kumanosuke has faint traces of her magic on him from always being with her in battle, but she makes no mention of using him as a weapon. This raises the question of whether she canonically ''does'' use him as a weapon, or if she fights another way.
** For some reason, Ashley is holding Kumanosuke in "Good Child, Good Child", which seems to show a younger Ashley with her father.
* [[Riko Chiaki]] telling Ashley that Kamihama's Witches and Familiars are strong indicates that she arrived in Kamihama [[Magia Record Timeline#Less than 1 year ago|only after the formation of the Magius and the Doppel field]].
* Prior to her release, the official websites for the NA release of Magia Record had released a translation of a page of Magia Report. In the translated page, Iroha states she is hoping she rolls the Magical Girl "Chelsea". This left fans to speculate that the NA original character would be named Chelsea. The comic was retracted, and the name was changed to read [[Ultimate Madoka]] instead. The NA original character was then released with the name Ashley Taylor.
