A magical girl who is practicing everyday with the aim of being a licensed tutor in the Nagino Tachi Tezuka. The only daughter of the martial art dojo "Ryuushinbyu" with a long history. While she observes discipline and always pursues purity, she also has an inconvenient side that is thoughtless, which may cause a disturbance.

Side Story

The story begins with Asuka swinging her naginata in front of Felicia Mitsuki and Sasara Minagi. Felicia asks if she's training. Sasara explains that Asuka met a magical girl named Nanaka Tokiwa, who Felicia recognizes. Apparently Nanaka told Asuka something important but she forgot all about it. According to Sasara, Asuka believes that training will help her remember. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work. Asuka reaches into her memories and remembers that Nanaka talked about either a witch, Kamihama City, or a new magical girl. Saying she failed, Asuka says she will self-flagellate herself. Sasara tells her to stop and not to hurt herself. She then suggests trying different methods.

Looking on the internet, Sasara found that physical activities like swimming, running, and yoga can help recover memories. The girls start with swimming, but it doesn't work. Sasara suggests eating soy can also jog memories. Asuka decides to have soy milk, but wonders if Felicia and Sasara are just having fun with her. The girls try multiple methods, but none of them work. Sasara even buys a brain training puzzle book, but Asuka says she isn't good at those.

Asuka says she'll self-flagellate again, but Sasara says hurting yourself is forbidden. Sasara asks why Asuka can't just talk to Nanaka again, but Asuka believes asking Nanaka to repeat what she said to be shameful. Sasara tells Felicia that Asuka doesn't back down when she's like this, just like when she made a wish to become a magical girl. Asuka says she can't tell that story, but then says she'll tell it herself before Sasara says anything weird. Asuka narrates that she thinks Sasara is teasing her.

Asuka explains she's the daughter of a family that runs a swordsmanship dojo in Mizuna Ward, named "Ryuushinru". Around two years ago, Asuka's cousin intended to take the recruitment test to become a policeman. However, his father then ran for mayor. Asuka's cousin explained to her that the old mayor retired and his father was asked to run. Asuka's cousin muttered that he didn't think his father was a good man, but Asuka didn't hear. Instead, her cousin asked for help with the campaign. Asuka family would become part of her uncle's election staff.

Unfortunately, Asuka's uncle was caught giving out envelopes with cash in order to buy votes. Asuka's cousin claimed he should have seen it coming and apologized for getting Asuka involved. He also said that he won't be able to come to the dojo until things settled down. Asuka asked about the policeman recruitment test, but her cousin insists it will be fine. However, Asuka believed he wouldn't be able to become a policeman because society would judge him for his father's crimes. (It's hardly an unreasonable fear in Japan). It was then that Asuka came to Kyubey and made a wish: "Please let my cousin become a police officer".

Sasara explains that Asuka became a magical girl because of that one belief, but Asuka says the incident never came up again. Felicia says Asuka is thoughtless, prompting Asuka to say she'll self-flagellate again. Sasara tells her to stop saying that. The girls then think about how to judge Asuka's memory again. Asuka says she has a plan. She narrates that she didn't want to resort to this, but there's no other way. Asuka's plan is...to have Felicia hit her in the head with her hammer.

Sasara says this a horrible, dangerous idea. Asuka doesn't care. Sasara asks Felicia to say something, but Felica asks how many times should she hit Asuka. Asuka asks Felicia to hit her until she remembers. Sasara says she can't do this, but Felicia says she'll go easy on her. Asuka tells her to begin. Felicia hits her, though she insists she didn't hut her full on. Sasara runs to Asuka and asks if she's okay, and if she remembers. Asuka says she remembers...not paying attention to what Nanaka said. Asuka admits she was hurrying to the train station at the time and didn't really hear what Nanaka had to say.

Giving up, the girls go find Nanaka. Nanaka asks if Sasara and Asuka are friends with Felicia. Sasara says that they are sort of working together. When Nanaka says that's splendid, Felicia asks if she's picking a fight. Nanaka says she's glad Felicia found some friends. Asuka then asks Nanaka about what she said to her earlier. Nanaka says that Asuka seemed to be in a hurry that day, and they told each other they would talk about it later. When questioned, Nanaka says it does have something to do with a magical girl, a witch and Kamihama. Nanaka then holds out...a flyer for a flower arrangement exhibition held by Nanaka's family's flower arranging school "Kashinryuu".

Nanaka explains that she wanted all the magical girls to attend, that it's the first time they're holding this event in Kamihama, and that every now and then they should forget about witches and relax a bit. Nanaka admitted she intended to mail Asuka the flyer but she forgot. Nanaka apologizes and hopes it wasn't an inconvenience. Asuka gives a small laugh, while Felicia is annoyed that Nanaka's information wasn't important at all. Asuka says she'll now self-flagellate.

Asuka then narrates she would later attend the exhibition and find it gorgeous. She also claims to have learned from this and will train her memory.
