Can Magical Girls Control the Elements?

This is somewhat of a strange detail not picked up by a lot of fans but can magical girls actually control the elements? The answer is maybe.

Sayaka Miki Can Control Water Theory

We are going to use the scene from Rebellion featuring Sayaka Miki and Homura Akemi.

Sayaka Miki might have the ability to control water due to this scene , also Oktavia (Sayaka's witch form) is referred to as the Mermaid Witch and Mermaid's are mostly involved with water due to them have fish tails.

Sound Sensitivity (Water Ripples)

First of when Homura tries to use her time reset or her time pause to escape from Sayaka , Sayaka somewhat instantly turns around and slams her sword into Homura's shield. Why is this you ask? Well lets just use our friend Water here for a explanation.

Water is very sensitive to sound as it will create ripples in the water these ripples can represent if something is gentle or strong. Sayaka seems to turn around when the shield opens and makes a sound itself so Sayaka might have the power of sound sensitivity relating to water ripples.

Also a few seconds later water ripples appear again but this time they don't seem to relate to this particular topic , we will come to this later.

Reflecting (Showing one's true/other self or something not visible to one's eye's)

This one is a bit weird because it's about the ripples I was talking about.

Water has the property of reflecting anything it sees , even humans.

The ripples seem to show a weird multi coloured object flying over Homura and Sayaka.

Maybe Sayaka can use the water to show something not visible through normal eyes , but then this happens...

Sayaka is showing her true self like a mirror or water shows ones true self.

So she must have this ability to reflect things like water!

Water Manipulation

So this is what you've been waiting for... Sayaka seems to fill up the alleyway with water without Homura noticing , before there were just puddles! So while she is splashing around she weirdly makes the bubbles and speckles float , but when she closes her hand the speckles and bubbles just dissapear like they were never there.
