- Much like Holy Mami, her personal Memoria is also a reference to Bikkuriman.
- A shinigami is a god of death, similar to the western Grim Reaper.
- The star she wields as a weapon is a tetrahedron, which represents the human body, heaven, and earth in sacred geometry and is a shape found in Metatron's Cube.
- Holy Alina is the second variant character to have a different set of attack discs than their original counterpart.
- Whereas Holy Mami may refer to more traditional Christmas imagery (by invoking a 'holy mother' image), Holy Alina may be based off the pagan roots of Christmas, as seen in her somewhat disturbing transformation sequence.
