Kyousuke Kamijou

"Kamijou" as seen in the opening

His full name is Kamijou Kyousuke. An unknown person with some relation to Sayaka. In episode one Madoka guesses that he is the reason Sayaka wants to go to the CD store.

• He is the violinist who appears with Sayaka in the OP
• He is shown bedridden in the hospital in episode two, while Sayaka comments that there must be many who would trade their lives for a wish, and that life has been too easy for her.

• Sayaka tries to visits him in the hospital twice in episode 3. At the start of the episode, Sayaka gives Kamijou a CD by David Ostriakh, and they share his headphones and listen to a track Rachmaninoff's "Vocalise" together. Kamijou fingers the notes as he listens and then he cries. Later, Sayaka tries to visit him but is turned away. Madoka and Sayaka then find a Grief Seed outside the hospital.

Speculation

• Kamijou might be Sayaka's crush, boyfriend or relative. She bought the disc for Kamijou.
