Lil` Kyubey is one of the original characters in the 2017 mobile game Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story: Magia Record. Storywise, he takes the place of the player and acts as the character's proxy.

Summary
A Kyubey specimen that only exists within Kamihama City. It’s different from the other Kyubeys and looks very young. People used to see it wandering around the city. Now, it’s frequently seen with the residents of Mikazuki Villa. It’s unclear what goal it has and it’s very much a mystery.

- The first character to have the "Variable" attribute effect. This causes the target to change Lil' Kyubey's attack to the advantage attribute. Lil' Kyubey's attribute remains the same when defending, however.
- It is the first genderless playable character.
- It is also the first character without a set name on its card; instead, the card's name is the one the players gave themselves.
- This character can only perform diagonal blasts and, until the later release of Lavi Himuro, likewise no other character can perform a diagonal blast. If a different character connects to or from Lil' Kyubey, the blast discs get converted.
- ⭨ Blasts become ↕ blasts and vice versa.
- ↙ Blasts become ↔ blasts and vice versa.
- Its illustrator is Sasagi Koushi.
- Some of the frames from its transformation scene are a reference to Lyrical Toy Box from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha.
