Madoka Magica Online Walpurgis

As announced in the Walpurgis preview page, Walpurgis Night will appear in Madoka Magica Online. The witch is expected to arrive February 26.

This preview shows the lobby with Walpurgis-related buttons appearing and a co-op screen for the battle.

You'll have a small chance of encountering Walpurgis every time you exit a quest or PVP battle. You can also fight instances that people on your friends list have discovered by spending 5 AP.

The button with three magical girls on it is already in the game (as of 2/8) and can be accessed on a tablet or phone using the Maxthon Browser. You can make the flash player full-screen, revealing the button which is normally beyond the right edge of the viewable area.

The co-op screen shows a Silver Event Ticket reward, a yellow bar under Walpurgis that might represent her health or difficulty, and 5 magical girls in a list (probably a co-op group).

Another preview, posted on the official Twitter, reveals that the level 1 version of Walpurgis will have 2,000,000 HP.

By fighting Walpurgis Night, players will acquire Raid Points, rankings, and a Raid Witch Kill Count.

This is only the beginning.

Speculation

It's possible that Walpurgis Night's HP either regenerates once a day, or that when a certain amount of damage is received, her event will be "cleared" for that day. It's possible that players will be ranked based on their performance, much like how they're ranked based on damage at the end of a co-op level.

Anti-Walpurgis Weapons

Magic Weapons of Helplessness are available in the silver and gold event boxes. The SS version has a 1/999 chance to drop, but the boxes won't repeat cards until they are reset, so you can take the slow and steady approach to getting it. The muskets, pictured below, deal 10x (SS), 5x (S), or 3x (RR) damage to Walpurgis. This is calculated after defense, so if you have 3000 ATK and Walpurgis has 2000 DEF, a 5x weapon will hit her for 5000.

Elemental magic weapons deal increased damage to the witch whose nature matches their element. Walpurgis Night's witch card shows that her nature is helplessness, the same element listed on the weapons. However, the weapons specify "Prologue" in parentheses, implying that Walpurgis Night has more in store for us.

Trivia

Walpurgis Night's real-life date is midnight after April 30, and this is the most likely date for her appearance in the anime, but her timing can vary. Homura, while speaking to Kyoko in the arcade, gave Walpurgis a week-long window. It's likely that Walpurgis can appear even earlier under special circumstances.
