Magia Record Story Hereafter: "The Rumor of the Rumor of the Rumor"

Yachiyo enlists the help of the rest of the team and Momoko Trio to check on the rumors since they won't just disappear and she is afraid that it will mix with ancient myths and urban legends to form something new. They accept and separate the work.

Momoko Trio went to search for the breakup stairs rumor even though Rena and Kaede got into an argument on whose fault it was for them getting involved way back then. She manages to hear about how mild the rumor has become, and they give good advice to a girl trying to make the rumor work by telling her apologizing and making up is better since you can't be friends without arguments. Kaede manages to egg Rena into apologizing using some tips from Momoko, and they finish the investigation with good results as Rena thinks her relationship with Kaede will stay the same: argue and then make up with Momoko giving the needed nudge.

Tsuruno, Yachiyo and Iroha investigate the Reunion rumor and reminisce on how this is the reason why they teamed up, with Tsuruno doing her running hug on Yachiyo who caught her even though she berates her to act her age. They are dismayed to find that the rumor has mixed with an ancient legend where a couple are able to reunite after being forcefully separated due to class difference. It has become the main selling point of the Mizuna Shrine which is crowded with people, with mascot goods being sold already.

They met a girl who fainted as she queues for her turn to pray and the trio help her to the shrine's medical center. Yachiyo observes that the girl fainted due to the lack of rest, and the girl explains she is here to pray for a reunion with her childhood friend who had left before they could make up after falling out. From deduction and instinct, Yachiyo advices the girl not to think of committing suicide to meet her friend who is dead, and the girl says she had lost that thought already since her friend had passed away from illness. She claims that her wish is to meet with her friend in the afterlife after she has lived her life fully, and Yachiyo prays together with her and the girl having the same wish. Yachiyo later explains that she had experienced the same loss in Kanae and Meru, and has decided to live her life to the fullest before meeting them again when the end comes.

Felicia and Iroha went to search for the New Water giving uncle. The new rumor has it that the new guy is pretty shy and would eventually change his mind from giving water and run away. It is said that drinking that water gives good luck instead. They manage to catch the guy and are dismayed that he is just a regular person. He had recently lost his job and was conned by a friend to buy branded mineral water so he can sell them for a profit. However, his friend was caught for the fraud and the dude is left with cartons of fake mineral water. He didn't want to trouble his family so he had to sell the goods, but his conscious always gets the better of him and stops his customers from buying at the last moment. Felicia reprimands the guy and tells him to give up on this dishonest act and how he should get his life back on the right track for his family's sake. This brings back the fighting spirit in the guy, and Felicia helps him get a job at the business district with her connections, and the guy is back to making an honest living. Back home, Felicia laments that she can never treasure and take good care of her family again. This is where Yachiyo tells her to help set the table for dinner, and Felicia breaks into a bright smile as she helps out happily.

Sana tries to investigate the Lonesome Place rumor and she found a chat room with the same name there and joined in. She realized it is filled with negative people who complained about life, work and school and talking about suicide or killing offenders, but they say they are just all talk when Sana advises them not to do the act. Sana tried convincing people not to look down upon themselves and others and that curses will reflect them and was greeted with boos and nasty remarks. She comments that the actual Lonesome Place is nothing good, and people flocked to her and ask for a way there: is it through jumping down from the Radio Tower or a specific suicide method? Sana gives a white lie that she knows the place from investigating rumors, and the people there jeered at her for trying to lecture them. After a few more nasty words, they kick her out of the chat room and delete her account. Sana narrates that she never heard from these people again since the chat room also disbanded after that, though there were no news of suicide either. She hopes that her words might have some positive effect on them. Iroha notes that Sana is just putting a brave front after the nasty experience so she advises her to let it out. Sana accepts her offer and cries hard on Iroha's lap pillow.
