Meru Anna is a non-playable character in the 2017 mobile game Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story: Magia Record. Meru first appeared only in a flashback, when Iroha and the others relive Mifuyu’s memories while inside the Memory Museum. She was later released as a playable character in May 2018. She is a magical girl with a penchant for reading tarot cards and telling fortunes.

Summary
A magical girl who determines every action of the day by telling fortunes every morning. When the result of her fortune-telling is positive she has a very good time, but if it's bad she'll lock herself in her room and won't even go witch hunting. Because she likes to do fortune-telling seriously and hits it dead on, a ban on fortune-telling was issued among magical girls.

In Mifuyu’s memories, Meru talks about the fortune telling she did with tarot cards and how it was her lucky day. After fighting a witch and being overpowered, Meru tries to use fortune telling but couldn’t due to using too much magic. After the witch tries to attack Yachiyo, Meru blocks it causing her to run out of her remaining magic. The other magical girls have no grief seeds to offer her and, after a tearful goodbye, Meru’s soul gem becomes corrupted and turns into a grief seed.
Etymology
- The characters of her last name mean "low" (安) and "name" (名) respectively.
