Puella Magi Oriko Magica (魔法少女おりこ☆マギカ, Mahou Shoujo Oriko Magica) is the second spin-off manga illustrated by Mura Kuroe with draft by Magica Quartet. The first volume will be published by Houbunsha and features the return of Kyouko and Mami from the anime as well as new cast members.

Although the first volume was initially intended to be released on April 12, 2011, the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, as well as the subsequent postponement of the last two episodes of the anime has caused Oriko Magica to be postponed to May 12, 2011. The second volume will be released on June 13, 2011.

Plot

Promotional material indicates the story will be set after the events of the anime, revolving around Kyouko, Mami, Homura, and a new magical girl named Oriko. Madoka may make a vague appearance.

Official synopsis

From the big-hit original animation series, "Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica', new spin-off comics will be published with whole new writing/story! Kyouko Sakura, who spends the day for noble battle, Mami Tomoe who protects Mitakiharashi city with the heart of justice, Homura Akemi, who silently reaches Madoka Kaname bit by bit. The battles of each mahou shoujo's battle that should never cross, is recreated as one story centering the incident of magical girl hunting. This is, the incident that changes the entire destiny of girls. This is, the start of new magical girl story...
