Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Homura's Revenge! (魔法少女まどか☆マギカほむらリベンジ!, Mahō Shōjo Madoka☆Magika: Homura Ribenji!) is a manga spin-off by Golden Pe Done (Masugitsune & Kawazuku), originally serialized in Manga Time Kirara Magica issues 1 to 9. The series was collected into two volumes, with volume 1 collecting chapters 1 to 5 and volume 2 collecting chapters 6 to 9.

After completion, Golden Pe Done would follow up with a new serialization titled Puella Magi Tart Magica.

Blurb

Volume 1: Another week with Madoka?!; Had Madoka Kaname known of the tragic transformation that would mark the end of her magical-girl journey, how would her story have unfolded? In this telling of her story, Madoka remembers the outcomes of her previous timelines — but so does Kyubey. Even with the knowledge of her previous lives, can Madoka outmaneuver Kyubey and avoid her fate?

Volume 2: Even with Madoka's help, Homura has failed to rescue Mami from her fate — worse, she may actually have brought it about it. With both Sayaka and Kyoko looking to have their revenge for her part in Mami's death, Homura has to concern herself with her own survival — on top of trying to save her friends! Can anything derail the tragic fate that awaits them all?

Plot

Homura's Revenge! is a canon-divergent story where Homura takes Madoka back in time with her before Madoka makes her wish to erase all witches. The two plan to save the other magical girls and prevent the disastrous events of the canon timeline... except that Kyubey also returned with them, and plans to thwart their attempts to salvage the timeline in order to get Madoka to make a contract.

Trivia

Homura's Revenge! volume 1 is the longest manga volume of the franchise, at 176 pages, whereas most other volumes are usually around 144 or 160 pages long.
According to the afterwords, the story was originally going to be a comedy and feature Mami more heavily.
