A three volume manga adaption of Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Rebellion based on Gen Urobuchi's scenario, illustrated by Hanokage. The first volume was released on November 12, 2013, the second on December 12, 2013, and the third on January 10, 2014. The manga has been licensed by Yen Press to be released in English on June 23, 2015 as a single hardcover collection.

Differences from the movie

Warning, this section contains spoilers about the movie.
  • In the manga, when Homura sees Kyubey's conspiracy and before she says that she doesn't want such happiness, it connects to the final scene of the 3rd volume of original manga. However, when she running after Madoka happily, a darkened Homura takes a pistol and shoots her in the head. This might show her despair.
