Puella Magi Tart Magica: The Legend of "Jeanne d'Arc" (魔法少女たると☆マギカ The Legend of "Jeanne d'Arc", Mahō Shōjo Taruto Magika: The Legend of "Jeanne d'Arc") is a manga spin-off in the Puella Magi franchise, written and illustrated by Kawazukuu and Masugitsune (also known as the doujin circle Golden Pe Done). It is one of three spin-offs that have been released after the premiere of Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Rebellion, with the other two being Puella Magi Oriko Magica: Sadness Prayer and Puella Magi Suzune Magica.

Tart Magica began serialization in Manga Time Kirara Magica vol. 10 on November 8, 2013, following the conclusion of Golden Pe Done's previous series, Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Homura's Revenge! Two collected volumes have been released so far. The first volume, which collected chapters 1-4, was released on June 12th, 2014 in Japan and April 21st, 2015 in America. The second volume, containing chapters 5 - 8, was released on February 12th, 2015 in Japan. The volume will be released in America on November 17th, 2015. A third volume will be released in Japan on December 12th, 2015.

Volume 2: Tart presses onward in her quest to reach the Dauphin, the disinherited heir of France, and help restore him to the throne and thus her country to a state of peace. Her reputation as a fearless warrior and bringer of light has drawn loyal supporters who would stand and fight against England and the Duke of Burgundy. Tart's power grows, both as a beacon of hope and as a magical girl, but a country girl cannot hope to wield such power without facing opposition and consequences...

Trivia

"Tart" is one of the alternate spellings of Joan of Arc's last name.
Tart's three magical girl companions are also named after famous figures from 1400's Europe. John Hawkwood, Étienne de Vignolles, and Barbora Celjská.
The villainous magical girls are animal-themed. They call themselves by animal names in French and wear masks that match their animal. "Lapin" means "rabbit", "Corbeau" means "raven", and "Minou" means "pussy".
