Puella Magi Tart Magica: The Legend of "Jeanne d'Arc" (魔法少女たると☆マギカ The Legend of "Jeanne d'Arc", Mahō Shōjo Taruto Magika: The Legend of "Jeanne d'Arc") is the fifth spin-off in the Puella Magi franchise, written and illustrated by Kawazukuu and Masugitsune (also known as the doujin circle Golden Pe Done). It is one of three spin-offs that have been released after Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Rebellion, with the other two being Puella Magi Oriko Magica: Sadness Prayer and Puella Magi Suzune Magica. It began serialization in Manga Time Kirara Magica vol. 10 on November 8, 2013, following the conclusion of Golden Pe Done's previous serial, Homura's Revenge.

The first volume collecting chapters 1 - 4 was published on June 12th, 2014 in Japan, and the second was published on February 12th, 2015. Tart Magica has been licensed in English by Yen Press: the official English translation of the first volume was released on April 21, 2015, and the second volume will be released on November 17, 2015.

Her reputation as a fearless warrior and bringer of light has drawn loyal supporters who would stand and fight against England and the Duke of Burgundy. Tart's power grows, both as a beacon of hope and as a magical girl, but a country girl cannot hope to wield such power without facing opposition and consequences...

Trivia

"Tart" is one of the alternate spellings of Joan of Arc's last name.
Tart's three magical girl companions are also named after famous figures from 1400's Europe. John Hawkwood, Étienne de Vignolles, and Barbora Celjská.
The villainous magical girls are animal-themed. They call themselves by animal names in French and wear masks that match their animal. "Lapin" means "rabbit", "Corbeau" means "raven", and "Minou" means "pussy".
