Stacey

Stacey (STACEY) is a witch that appears as a boss in Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story: Magia Record. She also appears in Episode 8 of the anime under the control of Tsukuyo Amane.

晴天に抱かれた屋上で、 "ああなれば、こうなればと夢想に耽ている魔女。ウトウトと惰眠を貪りながら叶わないことばかりを考え至福の時とする魔女が屋上からフラフラ飛び立って行方不明にならぬように、手下によって脚は結び付けられ屋上の扉も施錠されて監禁状態になっているだが、魔女はずっと屋上に居る気なので、気にも留めていない様子である積極的に戦わないが、夢想を邪魔するものには攻撃を仕掛けてくる。ちなみに、巨大カメオブローチに描かれた横顔は本人とは無関係だという。

This Witch sits on a rooftop under the blue sky, dreaming about what could be. The best part of her life is when she wastes time between naps, thinking about all the things that will never come to pass. Her Familiars tie her legs down and lock the door to the rooftop so that she will not fly away. She does not seem to be bothered by this, because she wants to stay on the rooftop forever. She will not fight unless an intruder disturbs her musings. On a side note, the profile on her huge cameo brooch has nothing to do with her.

夢想に耽る魔女が空へ飛んでいかないよう気を揉んでいる手下。校舎の尸締リや掃除などで動き回り、指差し確認にも余念がない。魔女が居る屋上の扉を開ける鍵も管理しているが、なかなかの迂闊者であるため頻繁に鍵を無くしてしまう。そのため手下同士で合鍵をいくつも持つようになったが誰か1体でも倒されると屋上へ行けるザル警備状態に…、迂闊万全に戸締まりした結界に不法侵入してくる奴が大嫌い。見つかると周囲の手下もすぐに集まって、大切な鍵をダイナミックに振り回しながら攻撃してくる。

Their role is confining. These Familiars worry that the Rooftop Witch might fly away. They flit about, checking locks and cleaning the school. They never forget to point out problems. They have the key to the door that leads to the rooftop where the Witch is, but because they are careless, they often lose it, so they decided every Familiar should have their own key. That means anyone can access the rooftop by defeating a Familiar. They hate intruders who enter their "well-secured" Labyrinth. If one of them finds an intruder, they will swarm about it, attacking with their precious keys in all sorts of dynamic ways.

A minion of the Rooftop Witch; its duty is locking. It is a minion that worries how to keep its witch that indulges in her dreams from flying up into the air. It goes around the school building locking up the doors and cleaning, and devotes itself to the pointing and calling safety method.

Trivia

• Stacey is a shortened form of Anastasia, a Russian name meaning "resurrection".
• In the anime, her labyrinth features giant cartons of strawberry milk, a reference to Alina's habit of stealing Karin's strawberry milk.
  • She is the witch fought in the battle sections of Alina's personal story.
