stay away from 4chan if you know what is good for you...

are we going to consider the game canon?... there is always issues with games... --Mutopis 02:20, 21 December 2011 (UTC)

The scenarios are written by Urobuchi, Shaft and Inu Curry are doing the designs, the seiyuu are voicing their characters so yeah, I'd say it's reasonable to consider it at least as canonical as the manga spin-offs, which also have share the character page and so on. --randomanon 02:22, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
Actually, Urobuchi did not write it (or not all of it). He mainly "Supervise" the script. --0x99 02:25, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
True, though the way it was explained, I have no qualms of it having the complete Urobuchi stamp of approval: The scenarios of the game version will be under full supervision by Gen Urobuchi of Nitroplus. Regarding that Doi noted that “the game will have multiple ending and I would like to drill down to explore the aspects of the characters that have not been seen before.” He also mentioned Urobuchi came to the development site frequently to have discussions. Doi looked satisfied with the result and said “I have high expectation of the scenarios.” At the very least, it will be as canonical as the drama CDs, which were also under his supervision. --randomanon 02:32, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
It won't hurt listing the witch in characters page though, as long as we mark it as from PSP game. (Just like how we treat Oriko/Kazumi, etc.) Personally I think if Inu Curry designs it, at very least the witch form could be considered canon (even if the story itself may not be quite so). --0x99 02:25, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
I swear I'll never get people's gripes with canon sources that aren't the main and original source, even if they're just as official... but oh well.
As a personal note, I read a number of fan descriptions for Mami's witch form... and this doesn't hold a candle to some of them (no pun intended). It seems too bland, to be honest. I like the idea of the familiars being built into the image or her kouhais; and I have a sort-of childish satisfaction over having called it. --BrickBreak 03:01, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
Well, it matters for two reasons: One is clarity. For example, if someone has only seen the anime and knows Kyubey, mentions of Jubey is going to be confusing. The more works there are produced, the more confusing it will get as the body of information and discrepancies among sources grows larger. The second is that some fans care about sources and made subjective opinions on which they consider canonical and which do not. There will no doubt be some who do not consider some combination of the three manga, the game or the drama CDS to not be canon but rather than make those distinctions, we simply rule out things that are definitely not canonical (like the Comic Anthology) and make sure to list the sources for the rest because of reasons 1 and 2. --randomanon 03:22, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
What the heck is her name supposed to mean? --Universalperson 03:44, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
I think it is an Italian name (male), the female equivalent is Candelora and I think the name seems to suggest something to do with the some sort of religious festival, of course I cant understand Italian but there is an English source that explains it. (Good thing Spanish has similar words in Italian or otherwise I wouldnt understand any of it...) --Mutopis 03:51, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
who would have thought than an Anime/game would actually make me look and learn new things about the world? Nuts... --Mutopis 04:02, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
Candelora, February 2, Groundhog Day, time travel... I am just thinking this is all coincidental... right? --Mutopis 04:16, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
For some unknown reason I want to scream INUCURRYYYYYYYY! --0x99 04:20, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
In France, Candlemas (Chandeleur) is best known for being the day of pancakes, which are prepared in every way.. Ok, now this is ridiculous. I wouldnt be surprised if this was true but I still feel like someone is pulling my chain.... --Mutopis 04:29, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
I be darn... --Mutopis 04:33, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
Well played, Quartet. Well played. Kerigis 05:01, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
Incidentally, if the "witches named after celestial objects" is still something that's not a coincidence, we have this. I wouldn't add it to that page or this page, though. --Universalperson 05:05, 21 December 2011 (UTC)

Who made the Witch Card? Is that the official description from the magazine or is it fanmade? --SPDUDE48 24:13, 22 December 2011 (UTC)

It's... almost certainly fanmade, I believe. The image was cropped directly from the magazine screenshot and pasted over the Anthony card, and part of the text reads something like "the dynamite body unlike that of a high-schooler which she had in her previous life". Neuchadjinys 05:19, 23 December 2011 (UTC)
It's from 2ch, hence it's in the fanart section...or at least that's where I put it. I can't say where anyone has used it (can't track everything). I can say there's no official card anywhere that I've seen thus far and I don't expect to see a real one anytime soon either. The ones for the anime weren't released until after they were shown in it. The game...is still months away from being sold.--randomanon 05:59, 23 December 2011 (UTC)
Pretty much all of the manga ones are fanmade, too, so I don't think it's a problem (though maybe erasing that description for the page version would be good). --CrownClown 06:29, 23 December 2011 (UTC)

Why exactly does the Witch have blue in her design? I thought Mami was all yellow. I know the Witch is suppose to look like a refined young lady, but still . . . --SPDUDE48 15:33, 06 January 2012 (UTC)

Kinda looks like bluish-green to me... --Mutopis 01:26, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
Sayaka had a fish tail, and you're concerned with Mami having one more color? LOL, but really, it's probably to break up the mass of yellow. All the witches are multicolored like that. --CrownClown 02:21, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Am I the only one who thinks Kyouko's Witch will be featured in the next issue of Dengeki Playstation? --SPDUDE48 21:14, 09 January 2012 (UTC)

added some more information that I got from 4chan, anyone is welcome to make changes or corrections... --Mutopis 08:58, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

Familiars

Anyone knows if a card (or cards?) will be made for the familiars? --Mutopis 04:40, 28 January 2012 (UTC)

Since their names are unknown now, I don't think it necessary to make them now. Yorkwoo 05:12, 28 January 2012 (UTC)

Witch description

Where did Candeloro's description come from? (Revealing her to be the witch of dress-up with an inviting nature) Silvermoon424 16:07, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

It's from her page in the in-game witch encyclopedia. --Neuchadjinys 19:52, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
Thank you! Silvermoon424 21:59, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

You know, I am kind of dissapointed that Candeloro's mammies are not big, her hips are very wide... --Mutopis 10:49, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

  • Insert Shakira joke here*. Do you think we'll ever get the names of the familiars? SPDUDE48 11:10, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

Call me Crazy

I like her better than her magical girl form.Yes, I am very much so insane --Datadoggieein 06:07, 10 July 2012 (UTC)The Makuta of Matau Nui
