They are the same. And actually, there the sharp notes are even more clearly visible than in the opening scene, which proves my earlier transcription at least close to being correct. I'm not so sure about the amount of flat notes thought, but I'm going to try to make a new one since the one we currently have does have some mistakes in it. --Kuhaa 09:42, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

Random stuff about the Opus II

• As I said in the talkpage of the score file, it would be nice if someone could write a small paragraph explaining how the score could be reconstructed, just as what's on the runes page. Was it flipped or whatever in the end?
• Also, I don't understand this tweet but since it's packed with sharp/flat/natural signs and question marks I figured out it might be useful. If anybody's in the mood of translating it ...

Oh sorry, I completely missed the talk page of "Sayaka battle music". So the notes play the bgm from when Sakura battles a witch in ep 9. It's been quite a busy weekend for me so I haven't been involved as much as I would've liked but tomorrow I'll probably review the transcription we currently have linked on this page, and if necessary make a new one since to me there are a few things that look strange. About the tweet, that's really nothing new, the piece is not in Ab minor. I'll try to update the Wiki page in the morning if someone else already hasn't by then. --Kuhaa 21:51, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

I replaced the "Madoka and Sayaka's Troll in D-flat, Opus II"'s links with midi and transcription I made because of the reasons mentioned above. I also replaced the midi because, although it sounded quite right, it was made from a transcription written in Ab minor (checked this by opening the midi file in Sibelius). I hope everyone is ok with this and if it turns out there are mistakes, we'll fix them. I'll probably start working on a paragraph about reconstructing the score in the morning. --Kuhaa 01:47, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

I wrote a paragraph about the reconstruction process. I wrote it from my own point of view (in other words, how I approached and observed the transcription process. Mr. Anon also got it right and it's obvious we're not the only ones, there were many people working on it all around the web. No names mentioned though so it should be fine) since I think it explains quite well how the English speaking community worked on it, and what mistakes were made during the process. It's also my version of the transcription we currently have here so I think it's not entirely wrong to explain how that version came to be. I hope you're ok with the text, I'll probably see if I can structure it better. If anyone feels like reviewing the English in the paragraph (and the whole page), please do. I think I might have misused some musical terminology since I'm not used to writing about these things in English. :E --Kuhaa 18:20, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

Sayaka transformation scene notes (BD)

According to Nicovideo, the notes in BD version of Sayaka transformation scene seems to be Tekla Bądarzewska-Baranowska's Maiden's Prayer. Not sure where this fits, but put it here for the time being. --0x99 20:28, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

Lyrics are here [1]. References to notes with Sayaka has to do with Kyousuke Kamijou. In this case, it's her prayer for him to get better and if this is in fact the song, a foreshadowing of her tragic end with this wish. --randomanon 11:29, 11 July 2011 (UTC)

Ah, I found even more in the game. I know regular Sayaka's henshin, Magia and Doppel have them, along with Haregi Sayaka's Magia and Surfer Sayaka's Doppel. I extracted the frames from her henshin, but I'll need help with Magia and Doppel textures. EPF (talk) 11:00, 19 September 2023 (UTC)

Yes, because this talk page is for Deciphering the notes, not Deciphering the runes. This wiki page seems less confident on the notes than runes, and here we have more examples of the runes. EPF (talk) 11:00, 19 September 2023 (UTC)

After looking a little closer, the henshin contains a piece of musical notation that the wiki hasn't noted before. I assume it's a clef? It's present in the smallest circle in the B files. EPF (talk) 11:20, 19 September 2023 (UTC)

I am researching the topic further - those henshin B files might be a gold mine for note research. I found two notes that look kinda what the wiki currently calls "Grace notes", except one has a dot inside the crescent, and one does not. This is a screenshot from B12 file, before the notes "pop" into their places on the staff. I am currently trying to transcribe the visible notes onto a straight staff, to make translation to "normal" notes easier. EPF (talk) 15:11, 19 September 2023 (UTC)

I still haven't found most of the effect image files from Sayaka's animations, but thanks to GitLab user Livia Medeiros and Discord user Misaka Honoka, I managed to locate those strange symbols from regular Sayaka's Doppel and that Alexandra Kurusu also has scores in her attacks (1) (2) (3) (4) (5)... Sasha seems to have some unique symbols that Sayaka doesn't, I think. EPF (talk) 11:42, 20 September 2023 (UTC)

I got further help from GitLab's Livia Medeiros, and they unearthed a file from R!Sayaka's Magia that seems to contain all the music symbols on their own...! EPF (talk) 17:11, 20 September 2023 (UTC)

Hm, Sayaka's and Sasha's notes aren't quite the same. They seem to be following the owner's soul gem shape somewhat - Sayaka's are more rounded, Sasha's are more angled. Additionally, I found out that Sayuki also features notes in her attacks, but they're not "runic" - they're just regular notes, pretty much. And her music circle is probably nonsensical - all notes are at funky angles. EPF (talk) 09:37, 21 September 2023 (UTC)

I finished my Magnum Opus - a simple, straightened version of the Sayaka Magic Circle score, with notes on strange inconsistencies and unclarities. Now, I wish I could transcribe it into regular real-life notes... EPF (talk) 11:04, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
