:: The [[:File:Kamihama wards.png|latest map]] confirms my theory that the swastika on this map is Suitoku temple, but I'd like to note that this new map is also mislabelled – the suffix "ji" in Japanese means "temple", so writing "Suitokuji Temple" is like saying "Temple Temple" and is redundant. Revision as of 05:34, 17 May 2022

Quick notes

  • List of ward is from the Help → World Settings → Kamihama City menu in the game (see pic).
  • Location of the ward is either from the story (for example Kōshō being in eastern is from Tsukasa's MSS) and other is from the name.
  • Characteristic of each ward is from the game background, e.g there's a sign with "Sakae Street" in Chapter 6 (in English!)

Map

Interesting, I finished chapter 7 yesterday and didn’t noticed the map has this much marking. The 文 marking is a school, so I guess the ★ next to the school in Shinsei-ku is Yachiyo’s mansion? Might worth trying to label this stuff. (Also perfect timing \o/) —- 0x99 (talk) 08:03, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

Me and a few other people labeled the map!Sondenise (talk) 07:12, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
There are a couple of strange things about those labels. (1) The Misery Water rumour seems to be marked twice (once as "Misery Rhyton" and once as "Sweet Water"), which makes me wonder if one of those is actually another rumour. The location of the red one seems to fit with the Memory Museum. (2) I guess it's possible, but the Coordinator's shop and the Mirror Witch being almost on opposite sides of the city seems a little strange to me. (3) I see there's a Buddhist temple (the swastika) near Banbanzai (assuming that label is correct)… it doesn't quite seem to fit, but is there any chance it might be Suitoku Temple? Or if not, does that temple make an appearance anywhere? ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 02:33, 11 February 2022 (UTC)
By cross-referencing with the and also comparing with the Chuo Ward map from Breakpoint, it's clear that three of the schools on this map are mislabelled:
  • The one labelled "Sankyoin" on the above map falls within Chuo Ward, while the one labelled "Chuo" falls within Sankyo Ward, a clearly nonsensical situation. Therefore, the one labelled Sankyoin should actually be labelled Chuo.
  • Although it would make sense to simply swap those two labels, the anime map clearly marks the position of Sankyoin as being northwest of the railway yard, which on this map corresponds to the unlabelled school a little above the one currently labelled "Chuo".
  • So that means the one labelled "Chuo" should be left unlabelled… or, perhaps it could be Kamihama Future Academy?
Could I request that someone update the labels? Also note that "Minagi Ward" apparently should be "Minaminagi Ward" according to some editor.

The latest map confirms my theory that the swastika on this map is Suitoku temple, but I'd like to note that this new map is also mislabelled – the suffix "ji" in Japanese means "temple", so writing "Suitokuji Temple" is like saying "Temple Temple" and is redundant. I don't mind whether it's Suitoku Temple or Suitoku-ji though, either works for me. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 05:10, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
Also noting that the map in Chapter 7 that shows only the major main story rumours seems to confirm my theory that the one currently labelled as "sweet water" is actually the Memory Museum. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 05:27, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
Oh! And that pin at the top that's barely visible, between the Hokuyo Ward marker and Walnut's, appears to be St. Lilliana Academy! Although it's not identifiable as a school on this map, the map with the arrows in Chapter 7 shows a pin in the same location which is clearly a school. As a side note, the location of Minaminagi Liberty Academy is also marked in that anime map anime map, which means the only remaining unidentified school locations are the ones that Himena and Kagome attend. (And one of those is probably the one sitting between Sakyoin and Chuo Academies.) ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 05:34, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
