Other option is just roll twitters up into miscellaneous and make it a linked subpage like I've done for other things.  I'm not sure it needs to be that prominent.  Also why do we not have the US premiere of Madoka at the Otakon listed on the events and venues list?  That's a pretty big deal.  --[[User:Randomanon|randomanon]] 18:39, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

I just have a question. What does the "Illustration" field do? [[User:Yorkwoo|Yorkwoo]] 00:16, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

Which page to link

'sup guys. Here's a question for you: what would be the best suited page to be linked from the main page? This one or Translated Official Documents? This one seems more general (as its name states), but the other one is "historically" the Documents page ... --Homerun-chan 08:35, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

Couldn't both be added under a single bullet point as Translated Official Documents/Miscellaneous? --Knon 09:48, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
I was requesting both to be linked as I think they both have value. Knon's suggestion sounds good but then I don't know if people will realize they're two different links. Maybe a clearer separation, or listed on two lines, or Miscellaneous as a sub-bullet point under the first. Miscellaneous is broader but the magazine collection is larger and has a greater depth of content. --randomanon 13:28, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
If we're on the topic of sub bullet points, then would the official documents be considered important enough to get their own sub section in the menu? It would be a clearer way to list them:
Then again, the menu might become too long in such a case if other sections would have to get the same treatment. --Knon 16:04, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
Maybe break it out like we did with the Manga. This is a very popular section we're talking about. Probably one of the most cited from the wiki. --randomanon 16:06, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
Here is how the Main Page would look with this change, and the ones explained on the Main Page's talkpage. I'm not sure about the 3-level lists, will have to change some stuff later --Homerun-chan 18:12, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
I don't like the 3 level lists either. Can we leave it separated as like this as anime and manga for two levels. (My feeling is we'll see an OVA/Movie/sequel/SOL at some point so the anime won't be listed alone forever.)
  • Anime Series
  • Puella Magi Madoka Magica
  • Manga Series
  • Puella Magi Madoka Magica
  • Puella Magi Kazumi Magica
  • Puella Magi Oriko Magica

For the other three tier:

  • Media:
  • Teasers and commercials
  • Translated official documents (magazines)
  • Translated official documents (miscellaneous)
  • Twitter Messages
  • Fanworks (games, video, music, ...)
  • Events and venues

Other option is just roll twitters up into miscellaneous and make it a linked subpage like I've done for other things. I'm not sure it needs to be that prominent. Also why do we not have the US premiere of Madoka at the Otakon listed on the events and venues list? That's a pretty big deal. --randomanon 18:39, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

I changed the page based on your remarks, and indeed it looks better. I don't think Tweets needs to be a first-level page either, linking it from the documents pages is probably fine. If you see other things to change, don't hesitate to edit the page if you want to, I created it in my namespace merely because that's where incubating pages usually go.
As for your last question, the answer is quite trivial: I didn't know about that, and it appears I'm the only one to be aware of the Events page. If you have more info about it, I will gladly fix this --Homerun-chan 19:40, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
