Actually I've tried to build a Chinese madoka magika wiki on Wikia a year ago. Recently I'm thinking about building a wiki on a webhosting service instead of Wikia. Meanwhile I would like to know your suggestions about:
  • Choice of webhosting (eh... I'm also asking the one who built up SakiWiki)
  • Building up MediaWiki (I mean tips&tricks about the configuration, witch runes, templates, etc.)
  • What would you do if the administrator/manager of the wiki don't want to continue? Or more concretely: what if people suddenly lose contact with the guy who pay the bill for the server & the domain?
  • Possibility of putting download links in discussion page. versus possibility (or safety) of doing so on Wikia
  • Ideas for gaining popularity
