Where did you find the extra info for some of the Mobage witches?! I'm intruiged!! :D DreamerWitches (talk) 09:52, 29 November 2020 (UTC) The info on the giraffe witch comes from a comment by Kyubey on Mobage's main story. I assume the bird witch's is also from there, although I couldn't find it myself after some skimming. I found both on a-nima's blog and also a Japanese Madoka wiki. (Also, fun fact about the giraffe witch: lots of people speculate that her design is based around the Japanese idiom of "stretching your neck", meaning to wait eagerly. Like, she waited for so long that her neck got as long as a giraffe's.)
I've been wondering myself, where did you find the Madogatari images? I tried reverse google search but nothing showed up, not even your blog.
Also, good news, I found somebody willing to translate the Madogatari content! Stellar Canopy actually had thought of it already and had most of it done. Ohh! I see! That's great that we at least have some info on the Mobage witches!! It took a lot of time to find those images... I found it on this website https://www.4gamer.net/games/266/G026651/20160926088/ there's an image of a big wall of witch art and I had to zoom in on photoshop to find everything. Thank you! Sadly there doesn't seem to be much info on them. Here's what I know: 1) Pixiv says that the minions of the frog, cell, diva and dream witches debuted, respectively, on chapters 37, 39, 41 and 43. I've honestly got no idea what 'chapter' means here. The main story only has 37 chapters (and we're looking for event exclusive witches), there are only 19 events, and if you count each individual chapter of the events you'll get to 37 way before the summer event. My best guess is that they're counting according to release dates (so if main story chapters 1-9 come out at launch, the first event is chapter 10), but since I can't find the release dates for the main story it's impossible to confirm. Anyways, this does suggest an order to their releases at least, and it matches the order in which I've seen the event witches listed elsewhere, but...
2) The few pictures we have of the cell witch battling have the marriage version of Mami fighting. This means the earliest possible date for it would be while the marriage event was running, which was just before the Tanabata one happened. Therefore, either both the cell and diva witches were released in the same event, the dates are wrong, or the diva witch was not released between the cell and dream witches. (Incidentally, the player's team in the diva witch's screenshot would place it between the Hanagusami and summer camp events at the earliest)
3)This post shows promotional pictures of the diva and frog witches as early as January. The fact that their pictures were finished this early means that we can't assume that they were the first two released, since it's likely the other witches were done long before their releases dates too, but it could be circumstancial evidence.
Overall, there's nothing definitive but it seems likely that the event witches were released very close to each other, from roughly May to July 2012. There are only three events between Summer Camp and Tanabata, two whose stories we have access to, so I thought we could deduce which ones debuted a witch by seeing if there was one featured in the story mode. But I searched Summer Camp's story for "witch" and "magic" and nothing turned up, so it's unlikely there's a relation between gameplay and story. --AlsoArei (talk) 22:05, 22 December 2020 (UTC)
