Homerun, I have a NSF pic which I don't want to alter because I don't want it to appear as a photoshop/fake.  Is there a way to have a pic, let's say I make a "Click here for NSF pic" jpg appear in the gallery thumbprint, then if they click it, it links to the NSF pic?  Or is the best way only to create a html link underneath to the NSF pic?  Also, is it OK to have NSF pics on the wiki?  --randomanon 04:14, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

:I thought of a similar feature for spoiler images back in the days, but I was too lazy to look for a way to do it. I don't think it's natively implemented, so either we'll have to find a workaround (as you said, put a HTML link to the image for instance), or find an extension/code one/create a template to do the trick. For your second question, I think you should ask User:0x99, as he's the one hosting the wiki. Personally, I'm not very fond of NSFW images hosted here, unless their presence is justified (i.e. included in a page for an obvious reason) and properly tagged. Then again, I think you should refer to 0x99 on that one. --Homerun-chan 16:57, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

Revision as of 16:57, 25 July 2011

I see that there are still some occasional contributions on the old wiki. Don't you think it'd be a good idea to have a big disclaimer on its main page (I wanted to make it myself, but you've blocked the main page) that would basically say "hey, this wiki is outdated, the new one is here", so that some disoriented folks who may wander there would contribute here and not there? --KFYatek 00:32, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Err... I'm pretty sure there was one, but somehow it disappeared. Thanks for the notification, putting it back right now. --Homerun-chan 16:05, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
From what I recall, Wikia isn't very fond of content on their sites being moved elsewhere, even if they didn't write it themselves. The best course of action to take would be to delete all content, prevent editing by unregistered users, and disable registrations, so new potential editors can just go 'This is a shitty wiki. I'll just google for another one.' and come here. MAHO☆KYOKO 02:55, 1 April 2011 (UTC)
Here's a link to some Wikia drama, which should give you a general idea of the whole situation: http://www.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php/topic,7710.0.html MAHO☆KYOKO 03:03, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

Need a bit of help

Here's the thing: I was looking at the YouTube Insight for my AMV, and quite a bit of views came from a embed in 4chan. Now, I usually abstain myself from going there, but this time I did it for curiosity's sake. But a search for the title (Madoka Magica - Zero) returns no matches. Since you seem to be, well, seasoned in there, I thought you'd be the right person to ask for help. Never mind, found by searching the link. Smack dab in the middle of doujin posts. Hah.BrickBreak 11:20, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

... Wait, you got a Youtube embed on /a/? You got me interrested here, do you have the link or thread ID? --Homerun-chan 15:19, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
Nah, it was just a link, and a guy saying "I don't usually like AMVs, but dayum". I appreciate the effort, but no need,t hanks :P
But for some reason, YouTube Insight reads 18 of the views as coming form an embedded player there (4chan, not specifially /a/). I find it weird as hell, but then again, I'm mostly ignorant of what goes on there, and to be honest, I don't want that to change. BrickBreak 17:01, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

You're not missing much, except the Madoka Threads for the first few episodes that were epic. That was months ago though --Homerun-chan 17:09, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Need a bit of help, #2

This is almost embarrassing, but wikiformatting is definitely not my thing. Can you do me a favor and arrange the pictures at the end of my user page? Right now I gave them dimensions that "somewhat" fit my screen, but that's... yeah. Any way that you think looks good is fine. Though some of them are wallpaper-sized, might need to take some time to crop them up and upload smaller versions for everything to actually look good. Thanks :) BrickBreak 00:31, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

Am I OK, too? ;) How about like now? It may be a bit too narrow for some screens, I don't know ;) Tweak with the widths, it's your user page, anyway :D I centered the table and added a so that it won't get moved by the Portuguese Sayaka on wider screens. --KFYatek 09:24, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
Thanks a lot :D BrickBreak 10:00, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
Portuguese Sayaka is the best Sayaka. Prima 18:13, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
