Speculations

  • The object in the sky in the beginning of Episode 1 seems to be an upside down figure of Witch wearing a dress and veil, arms extended. The bottom has a tomoe pattern on it.
  • While many believed the witch in the first episode was Sayaka, this was proven false in episode 9 when they revealed Sayaka's actual witch.
  • Homura's documents concerning Walpurgisnacht contain illustrations of a similar witch. Episode 10 confirmed that this witch is, indeed, Walpurgis herself.
