Preliminary Quality Concerns

Alright, so as I pointed out on Aniplex's and Madoka Magica USA's facebook walls.... there is a noticeable difference in the amount of white on one cover versus another cover; the standard DVD cover has more white gradient(?) than the LE BD/DVD combo cover:

Goodness. Surely this was some kind of photoshop error that can be remedied within the next few weeks.... right? (And Unlike the Japanese BDs, this whiteness doesn't come as part of a removable, clear slipcase. ) This is really my favorite cover art out of all original BDs/DVDs, so I hope this doesn't stick.

Oh, yeah: and then there's how Mami is on the slipcover of the set that's all about Kyoko and Sayaka. MUMI WHY.

The most interesting part is how the purple bubbles in one are behind the whiteness, but in front of it in the other. The lower right bubble stands out sharply. The text and bubbles are in different positions relative to the art too, and it looks like the typeface isn't as bold. I went to the official site to confirm and it turns out the regular edition BD has a third different permutation. Also, have some more inappropriate Mami. KM 07:18, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
