Kalafina was a musical group for the Madoka Magica franchise.
History with the franchise
The group of Yuki Kajiura, Keiko, Wakana and Hikaru joined together in 2007 (Hikaru joined in 2009), primarily for the show Garden of Sinners. After the fact, Kalafina went on to bring music to other series, like Madoka Magica. For the original 2011 anime, they sung Magia. For the recap movies Beginnings and Eternal, they sung Kimi no Gin no Niwa and Mirai for the endings to the first and second movies respectivally. The group disbanded in 2018-19.
