: As for Exedra's localization, well, no. We know nothing about this game outside of it being for mobile devices and a part of the MadoMagi multiverse. We don't know if it'll be a Holy Quintet/Sextet-only game like Mobage/Online/Plus/Mobcast, or a unique cast game like MagiReco. We don't know if it'll be another 2D visual novel-ish game, or a grand 3D Genshinlike, or something else completely. We don't know if it'll be a gacha or not (but tbh it probably is gonna be a gacha because what else can an anime mobile game be in 2024). We don't know its regions (though the fact the annoucement was only made in Japanese wouldn't give me much hope for day 1 multilingual support). We don't know if it'll be fully voiced or not. Nothing. Maybe we'll have some more facts after the countdown ends. [[User:EPF|EPF]] ([[User talk:EPF|talk]]) 16:34, 21 April 2024 (UTC)

: Now that it's confirmed… what are the chances that the fan translator group manage to finish translating everything before it shuts down? :: They said they're planning on translating regardless of the shutdown, so there's that at least. Worst-case scenario all the dialogue will be recorded in text-only format, slightly-better scenario they could probably just release edited videos from the normal JP ver., and in the best-case scenario a private fan-server would be launched like [https://www.reddit.com/r/magiarecord/comments/jfrv7i/magia_record_na_private_server_prerelease/ this]. What are the chances that this is an early sign of Magia Record planning to shut down? Also, is there any indication yet of whether the new game would have a localized version made available? ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 14:48, 21 April 2024 (UTC)

As for MagiReco's canning... Hm. MadoMagi has had seven games so far, two of them (Portable and Battle Pentagram) were not long-term ones w/ constantly released content so they're irrelevant here. First there was Mobage in 2011-2012, then Online and Plus, which both ran 2012-2015 (Online was a browser game rather than a mobile game, though), then there was China-only Mobcast in 2016-2018 and now there's only MagiReco, 2017-?. There *have* been periods where more than one MadoMagi game ran before, though the only mobile-mobile pair was Mobcast/MagiReco, which differed by region and one clearly outlived the other by a long shot. I wouldn't say it's impossible, but also nothing is certain. I wouldn't think about EoS too much until it's actually announced.
As for Exedra's localization, well, no. EPF (talk) 16:34, 21 April 2024 (UTC)

They said they're planning on translating regardless of the shutdown, so there's that at least. Worst-case scenario all the dialogue will be recorded in text-only format, slightly-better scenario they could probably just release edited videos from the normal JP ver., and in the best-case scenario a private fan-server would be launched like this.
