::It's being discussed in the thread right now (thread #261 for archive reference). I think we all agree the guy who saw anti-Korean subtext read too much into things. As for the openly racist content, I for one skim through the changes regularly (and I'm fairly sure I'm not the only one) so I believe it would be spotted/corrected rather fast. Actually, she is holding this in her mouth. It's called "棒棒冰" in...I suppose, Chinese? It is also called "chuubert" in Gintama(see episode 149).
someone on /a/ also said it's from a candy or whatever. --Pronas 12:00, 21 January 2011 (CST)
- good ref, I'm too lazy to update the info page right now. could do with an comparison pic. --Sayaka 12:57, 21 January 2011 (CST)
- It's called Chuupet (チューペット) in Japanese. Chuu as in "suck" and PET. --0x99 14:20, 21 January 2011 (CST)
(namely this diff: [1]) -- Anon-kun 17:33, 27 February 2011 (UTC))
They have been deleted by 124.25.106.108. What is the point of that? Political correctness? --KFYatek 16:24, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
- Since that IP is from Japan, Japanese fans probably found that speculation unpleasant. Personally I would like to avoid this topic since it would led to vandalization from both sides, but I'll just follow the consensus here. --0x99 16:44, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
- Note that the IP that added it is Japanese too... Anyway, I'd let it flow too if I were you --Homerun-chan 16:48, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, the IP 114.203.154.179 belongs to SK Broadband in Korea. --0x99 16:53, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
- Oh you're right, I misread the diffs (I didn't see the problematic sentence was part of a bigger paragraph so the diffs made it look like it was the japanese anon who added it). Whatever... --Homerun-chan 16:59, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
