:Interestingly enough, I just added the minions now to verify that, and it still doesn't achieve exponential growth; it doesn't even fill the whole lattice actually. See [https://dl.dropbox.com/u/12351748/MS/population_minions.jpg here]. The equilibrium for witches is much higher than without minions though. The human population if halved and the witch population is twice as big as before, but it still reaches an equilibrium around 500 individuals. In terms of implementation, a witch has a 1% probability of spawning a minion on each free cell surrounding it, and a minion becomes a witch after 15 iterations.
