This is the saddest page in this wiki! Is this Kyubey's attempt to harvest despair from the fans? --Mutopis 04:52, 28 May 2011 (UTC)

Well, if Kyubey came to our world, he'd definitely work /a/ like a horse. I wouldn't be surprised. --BrickBreak 13:13, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
Real life poorfag http://pastebin.com/2e8DZDqc - Prima 14:12, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
On the contrary, I have to admit this page made me lol. Looks like you guys had fun these pas few days, makes me regret I didn't follow these threads --Homerun-chan 19:43, 28 May 2011 (UTC)

Overflow?

Don't you think we're going way over the line here? I mean, just go and count the amount of stuff in the page... --BrickBreak 01:41, 31 May 2011 (UTC)

Judging from Twitter, Poorfag seems to become popular in moonland too (a quick search on the wiki's URL should do the trick; right now it's around 75% poorfag, 20% meduca and 5% population dynamics). Too bad for you BrickBreak, it doesn't look like the amount of fanart is gonna slow down anytime soon ... Speaking of which, I'm surprised she doesn't have her own section in the image pack (she probably couldn't affort it, huaehuaehuaehuaehuae) --Homerun-chan 18:23, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
;_; why is poorfag so poor?... --Mutopis 19:03, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
I did a quick search on twitter, holy sh... --Mutopis 19:03, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
Nothing against Poorchan or her fanart, it's just that we can't keep adding and adding it here forever. And yes, an image pack is sorely needed. --BrickBreak 19:22, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
Well yeah, there's a lot of fanart on the page, but it's not like this page has any other purpose to begin with ... If we settle for her own part in the image pack, we'll probably have to wait until the meme dies out or the pack is gonna get outdated in no time ... I'd say we keep it here in the meantime, then maybe move most of it into an archive later? --Homerun-chan 19:55, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
Probably the best course of action. Although, the way this is going, one pack might not be enough... --BrickBreak 20:02, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

Oriko?

Just finish reading Oriko, doesn't the titular character sounds awfully like poorfag? She even used poorfag's trademark phrase in chapter 3. - Prima 08:37, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

except Oriko is a richfag, she was the daughter of a politician and she seems to be well off from the beginning, if anything she reminds me of a fallen aristocrat. Not sure if she still retains her family fortune but she seems to try to retain her grace and class considering her background. Plus poorfag would never go killing other girls to stop the end of the world, she is too nice for that --Mutopis 09:06, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
Have you read the second volume yet? There are multiple flashbacks of Oriko squating in an abandoned building and homeless.
One thing that characterized poorfag was her unrelenting positivity and sense of justice. Although it may be an extreme interpretation of her character, I can see her taking the knight templar role facing impending Apocalypse. Prima 01:11, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
She wasnt squatting in an abandoned building, that was her home fallen in disrepair and vandalism once the scandal broke, if you look at the panel you can read a graffiti that reads, "go away tax thief die", and there are also the ladies gossiping "That's right I heard she still lives there" indicating she is still occupying her father's residency. Plus even if she was squatting an abandoned building is still a luxury, Poorfag would rather live in a cardboard box and give the abandoned building to someone else. --Mutopis 01:44, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
Well, I been told. - Prima 05:36, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
There is only one poorfag --Mutopis 05:49, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
Yes, and that poorfag is our poorfag now. Snsninja 14:27, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
you can see that the building has a plaque but you can't read what it says, but we can assume it reads "Mikuni" for "Mikuni residence". Also notice the room with the big family portrait, that is her father's study and it is very clean so she has been keeping it up ever since the scandal (I assume the rest is the same at the rest of the other parts of the house). The outside is probably in disrepair on account of vandals and hooligans vandalizing her residency because of the scandal (graffiti and broken windows caused by bastards trying to harass her). There is no evidence of poverty (that we know of, then again it is difficult to say how much money she has left since the scandal either) --Mutopis 02:03, 24 June 2011 (UTC)

We(wiki.moegirl.org) translate this article to Chinese

http://wiki.moegirl.org/%E8%B4%AB%E7%A9%B7%E9%85%B1

The URL link shows above.

  • First thing I want to ask is: will you allowed us translate this article? And would you allowed us translate other article in wiki.puella-magi.net from English to Chinese?
  • Second thing is: Does those pictures put on this page (Poorfag) have Copyright protect? Like not allowed to copy?

Oh, I forget to introduce myself. I am the webmaster of wiki.moegirl.org (萌娘百科). It is a site focus on introduce MOE girl to Chinese.

If you have any opinion or suggestion, please send email to zoglun at gmail.com.

Thank you!

Not quite sure about 2, but go ahead for 1. --0x99 02:44, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
A lot of the fanart came from 4chan, not sure about copyright... --Mutopis 06:11, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
Usually, stuff that originates on 4chan (especially if there's no artist signature on it) is free to copy for non-commercial purposes, but shouldn't be commercialized or falsely claimed to be someone else's work. (Officially, "copyrights on this page are owned by their respective parties") If you want to find where something came from, the search on archive.foolz.us/a/ is helpful. Its search tool can take images, and images have google/iqdb/saucenao links. KM 07:50, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
OK. I got it thank you guys! --Zoglun 19:03, 20 April 2012 (UTC)

Name

I can accept keeping her page around to an extent, given she became a popular meme, but does she have to keep the name? It's a bit of a conundrum, because it's the name she was assigned through the meme (I assume, anyway), but is there any compromise? Maybe just saying on the page "this is the name of the meme/the name the meme gave her", rather than making it the actual page title? --Garr9988 (talk) 17:44, 19 April 2021 (UTC)

Funny

This has to be the funniest page on the wiki. ReiAyanami (talk) 14:45, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
