Mami wonders who she is. Bizarrely, she seems to be speaking to herself, one Mami in her magical girl outfit, and another in her Holy Mami outfit. Holy Mami claims she is as she's always been, she's just found a way to truly save everyone. She thinks that Alina Gray and Touka Satomi taught her the truth about magical girls, and then Mami herself "embodied that miracle". Mami decided to dedicate herself to the next miracle they would perform, and to their power.
In the present, Mami tells Touka she has a feeling of respect, but wonders if they should be sitting here having tea. Touka says it's important to relax your mind nervous system. Alina says Mami's tea is tasty. Mami says she was surprised they came over for tea, and reveals she's in a house rented for her by Touka. Touka tells Mami the house wasn't being used anyway. Alina says Mami hasn't returned to Mitakihara. Mami says her first priority is to release magical girls. Touka is surprised and says Mami will fall behind in her classes. Mami says releasing magical girls are more important than school, and between missing a few months of class and saving people's lives, it's obvious which one is important. Touka says those months and lives are one and the same.
Touka decides that she and Alina will lecture Mami on what she needs to study. Touka says she can't do it herself because she can't stay up late. Aina says it's going to be tedious. Mami says she's not really behind on her studies, but Touka says that's no good. Alina says this will only be for the current day. Alina learns Mami has a test on art, and admits that she only paints to express herself and doesn't think studying will be useful. Mami says she's having trouble with writing her impressions of art. Alina says she should just write what she thinks.
When Alina asks for examples that might be on the test, Mami mentions van Gogh's Sunflowers. Alina starts lecturing on the history of van Gogh's sunflowers and says the painting is a summation of the painter's life. Alina is excited as she talks about the feelings van Gogh put in his painting. A bit disturbed, Mami says she's alright and that she'll believe in what the art makes her feels. Alina says that fine, but mutters about how if she just imagines the feelings van Gogh had when he made the paintings she feels....aroused.
Touka decides that Alina wasn't much help in studying art. Alina says her specialty is drawing anyway. Mami says she learned something interesting anyway. Touka then decides to lecture about math. It ends up being a long diatribe on the importance of numbers. Alina is eventually able to interrupt Touka and says she's also getting too excited. Mami says they don't need to worry, and if she doesn't understand something she'll ask. Touka says she wanted to pay Mami back for the tea, while Alina says if they get the chance they would only ever talk about what they like. Touka apologizes, and Mami says she can tell her about space another time.
Suddenly, Alina gets a phone calls from the Amanae sisters, who need help fighting a witch. Touka asks Mami to help, saying they have a lecture to give at noon. Touka says she'll be explaining the truth to some skilled magical girls. Mami says they'll do a fine job. Mami narrates that the release of magical girls require Grief Seeds. The also have to protect Rumors and raise witches. Mami speaks to herself again, saying that when she thinks about raising witches she gets a strange feeling. Holy Mami says the feeling is excitement from acquiring a new belief. Mami arrives, to find Tsukuyo Amane and Tsukasa Amane playing the flute
The girls thanks Mami from coming, and explain the witch has moved. They say the Black Feathers are watching the witch to see if it moves. They also say they wanted to watch the witch thesmelves, but the Black Feathers don't like to show themselves. Suddenly a Black Feather appears, causing Tsukuyo to wonder if there was no point to being considerate. The Black Feather says the witch got away. The girls try to trace it with magic, and Mami is able to get a signal. The girls then follow the witch.
Mami asks the Amanes why the Black Wings choose to hide themselves. The Amanes say it's because revealing themselves is dangerous, explaining that there aren't many people like the Amanes who go all-into Wings of Magius. Tsukuyo says protecting Rumors and Witches would look like madness to a girl who didn't know the truth. If a magical girl was seen working for Wings of Magius it could invite conflict from other magical girls. Tsukasa says that many Black Wings aren't strong, so they hide their identities to avoid confrontation. Mami says they must begin the release as soon as possible, for their sake and everyone else.
The girls discover the witch. Mami says they will release it from curses and suffering. As Mami fights the witch, the Amanes are in awe of Mami's abilities. Tsukuyo points out she's using too much magic. Mami says the more magic she uses the sooner she can meet her: "Florence", the doppel who saved her life. The Amanes points out that using a doppel is physically exhausting, but Mami says she's grown used to it. Mami says they must defeat the witch quickly and give the Grief Seed to Magius. A part of Mami wonders if that's right. Mami realizes she still has doubts, as she's changed her dreams and ideals. Mami then says only "Florenc"e can overcome her doubts and summons her doppel.
Mami thanks "Florence" before it disappears. The Amanes ask Mami if she's alright, saying using a doppel makes you tired. Mami says that was true at first, but she's become used to it. The Amanes wonder if Mami just has more potential than they do. The Black Feathers thank Mami and apologize for letting the witch get away. Mami says it's alright. Suddenly she gets a call from Touka, asking her to come to an abandoned museum in Sakae Ward. Touka says they ran into some troublesome magical girls, who are currently trapped in a Rumor. She asks Mami to attack them if they get out. Mami narrates that it's only natural to help her comrades, but it's troublesome to be called so frequently.
The magical girls get away, but Mami thinks it might have been the best outcome. Mami doesn't understand why they didn't join the Wings of Magius, claiming only they are able to save them. Suddenly Mami asks herself if that's correct. Mami suddenly wonders who she is and why she's here. Things suddenly turn into a white fog where two Mami's talk to each other, one being Holy Mami and the other Mami in her magical girl form. Mami tells her other self to get a hold of her...self. She asks if she favored Magius from the very beginning.
Mami admits she can't resist without accepting the truth that the turn into witches. Holy Mami claims she believes Magius will be their salvation. Once she saw "Florence" and heard what they had to say, she began to think magical girls can saved. Mami agrees, but asks if they got something they can believe in. Holy Mami says she believes in Magius. Mami points out they resembled something, causing her to distrust them. Holy Mami says that's not true and begs "Florence" to save her. When the doppel suddenly appears, Mami asks why she went that far. Mami suddenly finds herself back in the park. She says she's just in shock from learning the truth, but the noise has already faded. Suddenly she gets a call from Mifuyu Azusa.
It tuns out Mami was invited to eat a classy restaurant with Mifuyu, Alina, and Touka. Touka says the restaurant is owned by her father's friend. Touka also says she'll pay for it, since her family has a lot of money and she makes money for herself as well. Alina muses that her artwork is also worth quite a bit. Mami admits to Mifuyu that Touka's and Alina's conversation is in a whole other dimension. Mifuyu says she's used to it. Mami asks where the third Magius is, and Touka says they invited her but she's eating at home today.
Mami tells Touka the other magical girls got away. Mami says there was someone she hasn't seen in a while, so she might have left her guard down. Mifuyu says it's unfortunate, but Mami is so helpful they have nothing to complain about. Alina says she didn better than the Amane sister who let the witch get away. Mami points out the Black Feathers did so, but Alina says it's the responsibility of their superiors. Touka says her lecture recuriting three new members, but she's worried about the "hot coals" left behind. Mifuyu tells Touka she shouldn't be impatient, and if they make too strong a move it might create a bigger problem. Touka says she was this close, while Mifuyu says she said too much.
Touka apologizes for shouting, and the girls dig in to their food. Later, Mami returns to Mitkihara, feeling like she needs to have tea in her own room. She also thinks of Madoka Kaname, Homura Akemi and Sayaka, and believes she has to take responsibility for involving them in the world of magical girls. She then thinks of Kyoko Sakura, and wonders what she would do in her place. She imagines Kyoko saying that Mami should be responsible. Mami admits she can't accept it, and for that reason she decided to release magical girls. Madoka briefly senses Mami's presence, but it disappears. She wonders if she imagined it. Mami's narration asks what you would do if you knew the truth. She wonders if they will be able to accept it.
