This Doppel has the power to draw out the childlike wonder that sleeps deep within a person’s heart. Those who it touches will become able to enjoy even childish pastimes, and be released from any and all stress.
However, those who play with it and become its captive will begin to perceive the Doppel’s mouth as the entrance to paradise, and anyone who sets foot inside can never find their way back out.
But it still has a maximum park capacity, so if too many people wander into its mouth, it’s said that the Doppel will sometimes spit them back out from the strain.

この感情の主は、ドッペルを誰にも見られない童心に帰られる場所だと思っている。このドッペルは心に潜んでいる幼い心を引き出す力を持っており、触れられた者は幼児が楽しむようなことでも楽しくなって、あらゆるストレスから解放される。だが、一緒に遊んでとりこになると、ドッペルの口が楽園への入口だと感じるようになり、中に入った者は二度と戻れなくなってしまう。それでも定員数はあるので、あまりにも多くの人数が口の中に入ってしまうと、ドッペルも苦しんで吐き出してしまうことがあるらしい。

 At the grocery store, Akari is gathering supplies for making brownies with Haruto in mind. As she grabs the last ingredient, dark chocolate, she decides to buy extras of everything, fearing the possibility of slipping up. On her way to the checkout, she struggles to carry her items due to their combined weight, but she is determined to get these home and bake with Moka’s help. However, her attention is soon driven to the sight of Haruto at the checkout as well. Worried that he will see the ingredients and get any ideas, Akari swiftly checks out without him noticing. However, she isn’t in the clear yet, as both of their homes are in the same direction. As she quickens her pace, the weight of the bags slow her down once again, and this time, she bumps into Haruto as he himself is leaving. Akari initially tries to refuse Haruto’s request to help carry her bags, but when he shows concern of her accidentally getting hurt, she gets flustered, and allows him to help, while making sure that he doesn’t see the contents of the bags. It is dark when they begin walking home, and cold. Since Akari forgot to bring her gloves, her hands were starting to shiver. When she blows on her hands in an attempt to warm them up, Haruto notices, and offers to hold her hand in his coat pocket. Akari blushes as she contemplates that she will treasure this winter memory. Just then, Hotaru curiously asks about what she bought, causing her to exclaim that it’s a secret. |
