Puella Magi Madoka Magica Beginnings & Eternal (TV Edition) (「魔法少女まどか☆マギカ 始まりの物語/永遠の物語」TV Edition) is a re-edited, TV broadcast version of Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 1: Beginnings and Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 2: Eternal. It is currently broadcasting during the Sunday 5 PM timeslot (colloquially called the Nichigo (日5) timeslot) on the TBS/MBS network. The TV edition version will have a total of 11 episodes.

Difference from the Original Broadcast and Movies

Changes within the episode

TV edition features various changes to both the original television series and the Beginnings/Eternal movies, such as drawing corrections, newly drawn cuts, newly drawn backgrounds, a scene re-composition, restored cuts, and a new end card illustration.

Commentary track

TV edition also features a commentary track by Eiko Kano, a comedian who is watching the show for the first time. The watch-along version of Eiko Kano's commentary track on a VOD platform, TVer, has received over one million views by episode 5.[1]
