The Doppel of dominion.
Its form is La Reine’s Twilight.
The master of this emotion seeks dominion and influence ad infinitum, for as long as she exists. The curses scattered by this Doppel are themselves a death-bringing darkness to all other humans, and if bathed in these curses, those without a resistance to them will instantly vanish from existence. The joy its master derives from this sight is synonymous with purification to her. The more her surroundings are stained with despair and darkness, the brighter her Soul Gem’s rhapsodic light shines.

| **Unique to Isabeau** It's always staring at someone else, As if it were observing its prey. With a cold, impassive gaze... The next time those eyes turn to look, it could be looking at you. | それはいつでも、誰かを見つめている
まるで、捕食する獲物を観察するかのような 冷たく、心の通わないまなざしで… 次にその瞳が視線を向けるのは、あなたかもしれない |

|
Episode 1 - A Planned Revival 1424, Paris - The scene opens with Isabeau remaining silent as Minou receives and relays her mother's orders to continue the siege of Ivry. Minou explains that Corbeau has already been dispatched there, ensuring the enemy stronghold will soon fall. A servant expresses amazement at young Minou's command over English forces, but Lapin clarifies Minou is merely conveying Isabeau's messages through their unique mental connection. The servants discuss how Isabeau's daughters, Minou, Lapin, and Corbeau, each possess extraordinary abilities, while Isabeau herself reigns as the shadow queen controlling both England and France through her grandson King Henry. When Corbeau returns from Ivry, Isabeau unexpectedly greets her with a rare spoken word "Ça va." Through Minou's translation, Isabeau praises Corbeau's work and orders her to assist allies at Guise. Corbeau inquires about other orders and learns of Isabeau's concern about Verneuil's situation. The sisters explain that their faction supports Henry as dual monarch, while the Dauphin Charles' faction allies with Scotland against them. Suddenly, a messenger bursts in declaring that Verneuil has fallen to a Scottish force led by a girl using magic to teleport troops inside the city walls. The sisters debate the implications. Lapin suggests the enemy might be a Magical Girl like themselves. Corbeau suspects a betrayal among their own contracted servants but Minou dismisses this. Despite Corbeau's concerns about the unknown enemy's power potentially surpassing theirs, Minou insists she and Lapin will handle Verneuil while Corbeau obeys Isabeau's orders for Guise. In a private moment, Corbeau recalls how Lapin's wish restored Isabeau's form but not her sanity after she became a Witch. She devises a plan of selecting an exceptionally talented servant, originally a noble's daughter skilled in archery, to make another wish to temporarily restore Isabeau's full faculties for the coming battle. Isabeau unexpectedly regains full consciousness when presented with the servant. She immediately grasps the strategic situation upon hearing about the enemy Magical Girl at Verneuil. Deciding to personally intervene, Isabeau names the servant "Flèche" and prepares to depart with her. Corbeau is relieved this will keep her sisters out of direct danger. August 1424, Near Verneuil - Isabeau arrives dramatically at the English camp. Through careful questioning, she identifies Sir John Talbot as their most capable field commander after the Duke of Bedford. She privately notes Talbot's humility and battlefield prowess make him ideal to counter the inexperienced Duke of Alençon leading the enemy forces. Isabeau plans to deliberately weaken part of their formation to lure Alençon into a trap where Flèche's archery skills will prove decisive. The only remaining variable is the enemy Magical Girl and as Isabeau prepares to transform for battle, she remarks it's been years since she last took her active combat form.
Episode 2 - The Queen's Game Near Verneuil - Isabeau arrives at the battlefield, remarking how essential it is for rulers to experience war firsthand. As the decisive battle begins, she first deals with the enemy Magical Girl responsible for Verneuil's fall, a Scottish girl who used camouflage magic to infiltrate the city. Isabeau mocks her modest wish ("I wanted the Prince's army to take back the town") and trivial power before effortlessly eliminating her. With this threat gone, the Scottish reinforcements fail to arrive as planned. August 1424 - Isabeau orchestrates the battle like a chess game. She deliberately weakens the English right flank to lure the inexperienced Duke of Alençon into a trap. As predicted, Alençon leads a cavalry charge straight into Flèche's killing zone, where she picks off the French knights with magical arrows, proving Isabeau's point about the end of chivalric warfare. John Talbot capitalizes on this to rout the enemy. Isabeau orders Alençon's capture for ransom value, while observing spies from Richemont's faction taking notes on these new warfare tactics. 1427, Paris - Three years later, Minou reports to her sisters about court intrigues. They discuss eliminating Charles VII's capable marshal Richemont through a multi-step plan. Their agent Pierre de Giac, Charles' corrupt favorite, has become a liability. Flèche and a new Magical Girl named Lame (Blade) are deployed to kill him during an "arrest" by Richemont's men, framing the marshal for the murder. The vacated position will be filled by their mole La Trémoille, a bureaucrat secretly loyal to the English faction due to his belief in Henry VI's superior claim to the French throne. La Trémoille will then turn Charles VII's court against Richemont by exacerbating existing rivalries. 1427, French Countryside - The plan unfolds precisely. Richemont's men capture Giac for corruption charges and Flèche snipes Giac mid-transport with an impossible shot, leaving no trace. Lame drives off observers including the alchemist Pernelle Flamel. The scheme succeeds perfectly and La Trémoille becomes Charles VII's chamberlain. 1428 - In the aftermath of their plan, Richemont is expelled from court.
Episode 3 - Thus do the Actors Gather October 12, 1428 - Pernelle Flamel and Cube discuss the dire situation in France where northern territories, including Paris and Reims, are under English control. Orléans, the last major stronghold of the Dauphin Charles' faction, is now besieged. If it falls, France’s fate will be sealed. February 1429, Paris - Isabeau, through Minou, commands her three daughters to move toward Orléans. She declares that all key players will soon gather there, calling this the "first act" of a grand performance. February 12, 1429, Near Orléans - Bâtard de Orléans, the city’s commander, attempts a surprise attack on English supply lines with overwhelming numbers. However, the three sisters effortlessly crush his forces. Corbeau mocks Bâtard’s futile efforts, while Lapin gleefully toys with the soldiers. Just as they are about to finish Bâtard, the mercenary La Hire (The Fury) intervenes, dragging the wounded commander to safety. Minou notes La Hire’s reputation and muses that this battle will be entertaining. March 6, 1429, Chinon Castle - At the Dauphin’s court, Charles VII tests the legitimacy of Tart (Jeanne d’Arc), the so-called "Maid of Orléans." Disguising himself among the courtiers, he watches as Tart immediately identifies him despite the deception as proof of her divine insight. The Dauphin publicly declares her a true messenger of God, rallying his forces for the liberation of Orléans. April 1429, Chinon to Orléans - Gilles de Rais delivers a rousing speech, inspiring the troops to march toward Orléans. Tart, now accompanied by Melissa de Vignolles, La Hire’s daughter, rides a white horse gifted by the Duke of Alençon. Pernelle observes her from afar, retrieving the legendary Sword of Clovis with magic to aid Tart. Meanwhile, Isabeau orders Corbeau and Flèche to remain in Orléans, allowing the French forces to gain momentum, only to torment them later. May 1429, France - Elisa Celjska and Oswald von Wolkenstein of the Holy Roman Empire’s Order of the Dragon seek out the exiled Marshal Richemont, intending to assess Tart’s strength firsthand. May 7, 1429, Orléans - The decisive clash begins as Tart leads a fierce assault on the Tourelles Fortress. Corbeau, lying in wait, finally confronts and greets her personally. May 1429, Paris - Minou reports to Isabeau that Orléans is on the verge of falling, with Tart’s forces gaining momentum. Isabeau, silent as ever, watches the unfolding conflict with anticipation. The stage is set with heroes and villains in place. |
