The Doppel of Poikilothermy.
Its form is a Nose.
The master of this emotion doesn’t know what she can prove her identity with, and has fallen into confusion upon realizing how ambiguous people’s conceptions of each other can be.
Her Doppel can disguise itself as other people, and even force those around it to bow their heads in respect.
It gives nothing to others, and can even wound them or take their lives without them being able to lift a single finger in opposition to it. But if the hollow void underneath its robes is witnessed, it’ll instantly lose its sense of self-worth and become powerless.

Reira wants to help throw a party for her friend Seika Kumi and is trying to decide what sweets she could make. Reira can't make cake, since Seika's mom is buying one already. Reira ends up stumbling on a restaurant named "Walnut's" and decides to get something there. While she enjoys the food, she can't find inspiration for Seika's party. She then overhears Manaka Kurumi explain to Hinano Miyako about the restaurant's special walnut cake. Reira asks Manaka if she could have one. Reira immediately digs into the cake and finds it delicious. She then explains her situation to Manaka. Manaka says that her restaurant is sponsoring cooking classes, and invites Reira to attend the next session. By a coincidence, it turns out the next session will be about making the walnut cake. Reira says she'll try her best. At the cooking class, Manaka notices that Reira is good at making the cake and asks if she's done it before. Reira says she sometimes makes sweets. Reira's cake turns out to be perfect, and Leila is overjoyed. However, Manaka receives a phone call, which prompts her to ask Reira for help. It turns out there's a cooking contest that Walnut's was invited to participate in. However, an important customer made a reservation at the restaurant, preventing Manaka from attending the event. She asks Reira to enter in her place. Reira says she's just a novice, but Manaka explains it was a dessert contest...and she was going to enter the very kind of cake that Reira finished making. Manaka says that the cake Reira made is good enough to serve in the restaurant and asks her to attend as a representative. Reira is reluctant to enter, but Manaka ultimately persuades her. She decides to practice making the cake again. Reira also asks Manaka who else is competing in the contest. Manaka is shocked to find Konoha Shizumi is entering. Unaware of who her competitor is, Reira thinks she's up against some capable people. Manaka says she'll be fine. Reira says she'll make it work out. At the event, Tsuruno Yui, representing her family's restaurant "Banbanzai", shares her Sesame Ball desert. It is of course, rated 50 points. Himika Mao enters with a desert that includes shredded squid and honey. The judges don't approve. Aimi Eri enters with "Sweets of a Maiden in Love", but it's too sweet for the judges. As Reira tries to finish her cake, she realizes there aren't any walnuts. She complains to the event hosts, who admit they made a mistake. Reira calls Manaka, who tells Reira she has faith in her and to follow her instincts. Manaka apologizes for only being able to encourage her, but Reira says she's grateful. Reira overhears that Himika still has some ingredients left over and asks to use them. She then finishes the cake and presents it to the judges. The judges find it's delicious. It turns out Himika's desert had salted nuts that Reira used instead. As Reira calls Manaka to tell her the good news, the judges come to their final contestant, Konoha. Konoha shows them her specialty ice cream. It makes the judges fall unconscious. Hazuki Yusa tells Konoha that she told her so. Ayame Mikuri says she knows how the judges feel. Konoha admits she's not good at making sweets. Ultimately, Leila wins the contest for Walnuts. She then makes a cake and serves it at Seika's birthday party. Both Seika and their friend Mito Aino enjoy it. Reira says everything turned out okay. |

Leila has decided to attend a chocolate cake baking class, as when she tried baking new years muffins for Mito and Seika, the recipe had flopped, and it took a toll on Leila's confidence, despite her friends still enjoying them. As she looks back and wonders if she was ever good at baking, she senses a Witch, and rushes to the scene. When she arrives, she finds Yozuru already there, who mistakes her for a regular human until she transforms. Yozuru proceeds to apologize for intruding on her territory, but Leila encourages her to team up with her, and they make quick work of the Witch. Once they get back, Yozuru initially tries giving Leila the Grief Seed, but she remembers to introduce herself as a member of Puella Care, which Leila is already familiar with, thanks to Iroha. The two soon realize that they are going to the same class, with Yozuru's intent being to give Livia a cake as a way of thanks for being her teacher. Leila shares her reason, although she is still overshadowed by self doubt. Just then, it begins to snow, and that along with Leila's hat reminds Yozuru about the 'Yukinko' from traditional folklore. She shares a story about how one was born from the wish of an elderly couple to have a child. She lived happily with them until the spring, where she melted away. Leila finds herself relating to the story, and worries that she may have lost her sense of self. Yozuru awkwardly tries to reassure her by saying that her only mistake with those muffins was that she served them without taste testing them first. Soon realizing that she made a mistake, Yozuru pulls out her notebook and flips through it, before giving Leila a very formal apology. She also tells her that she is a kind person, as even when in doubt, she still puts others before herself. The two notice that the time flew by, so they quickly head into their class. The first thing the instructor does is ask everyone to pair up, so Leila and Yozuru are together once again. A former cooking classmate of Leila's was also there, and recognized her as a skilled and frequent baker, but these compliments do not help Leila at all. After several baking mishaps, their lunch break arrives, and in the cafe of the kitchen they're using, Lelia profusely apologizes to Yozuru, believing that she had upset her. After some discussion, Yozuru offers to do a free adjustment on Leila, and after explaining what it was, and how it can rearrange memories, she accepts. However, when she closes her eyes, Yozuru uses the Grief Seed from earlier on her instead. When asked to look back on her memories, Leila remembers a time that Manaka praised her skills, and finds that her confidence had made a huge comeback. The rest of the baking session went on without incident, and with extra time to spare, Leila was able to teach Yozuru a few decorating tricks. When the cakes were done, Leila was overcome with a great sense of accomplishment. After some compliments from the instructor, the two girls returned to the cafe as the cakes chilled, and they made sure to try one when they were ready. The cakes were a success, with the white snowy frosting on top being a reference to the Yukinko that were mentioned earlier. Leila thanks Yozuru for the 'adjustment', but Yozuru tells her the truth, and that it was her own power that allowed her to pull herself back together. When they leave with their cakes, Leila tries to ask about what Yozuru can do as a coordinator, but she just chuckles and says that she won't be revealing any secrets, before Yozuru apologizing for lying about what she did, even if she did it out of kindness. Eventually, the two new friends part ways at the train station, and Valentine's Day quickly arrives. Mito and Seika love the cake, with the latter being unable to describe her appreciation, eating in almost complete silence. The two believe that the muffins were still good, despite what Leila thought. Mito then asks if Leila used any magic to improve the quality of the cake, to which she laughs, and states that it must have been the magic of kindness. |
