Backgrounds

I'm not quite sure, but I think most of the schools have a set of backgrounds that are generally used for scenes set in that school. The backgrounds for outdoor scenes are generally more distinguishable – I think some of the hallways are reused for different schools. Either way though, could we get some of those backgrounds added to this page? It would give an idea of what each of the schools looks like.

I think I have most of the backgrounds in the data dump I downloaded awhile ago, but I just don't know which one is which school in every case. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 23:20, 9 May 2023 (UTC)

Oh yeah, I was thinking about that too (especially since I named the article "Schools" rather than "School Uniforms"), but I'd need to do extensive research on the topic, since I'm not really familiar either. So in other words - I think it's a good idea, but I wouldn't be able to carry it out myself. EPF (talk) 05:48, 10 May 2023 (UTC)

I uploaded some of them and did my best to slot them into the page. I'm not confident every single addition is correct. Some of the interior ones (music room, lab) aren't added because I'm not sure if they apply to any specific school. I also accidentally included some evening duplicates of some of them…

Idk if it's just me, but am I the only one who can't see any of the images you've uploaded (schools, Kamihama backgrounds, Puella Care, etc.), even when trying to visit each image's own file page? If it's only me, idk what to do about it.--Garr9988 (talk) 01:53, 11 May 2023 (UTC)

I think it's a matter of adblock going hogwild. I had unusually many Ublock Origin entries on this page, especially given the site has no ads. I turned it off and the images loaded. Maybe it's because they have _adv_ in their names? Short for advertisement. The same issue happens on jp.rika.ren on their gallery page EPF (talk) 04:54, 11 May 2023 (UTC)

I don't remember doing it, but apparently I disabled uBlock on this site, maybe because it was doing just that and randomly blocking images. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 12:50, 11 May 2023 (UTC)

Since it seems to be a common problem with uBlock, maybe those files should be renamed to something else? Either more descriptive (like Kosho_Academy_Exterior.jpg) or by removing the offending _adv_? EPF (talk) 19:01, 11 May 2023 (UTC)

I don't feel really strongly about it, but I think keeping their existing names helps to prevent other people from accidentally reuploading them (as I already did with some of these because they were already uploaded under a different name). I do agree that it's not great for the name to not reflect the content at all, though.
