This article details the official licensing of Puella Magi Madoka Magica in Australia.

Summary

Madman Entertainment announced on December 2011 that Puella Magi Madoka Magica would be released in three volumes starting in April 2012. More information on the Australian releases can be found here: [1]. It uses the North American Aniplex dubs and includes no extras. The first release date was April 18, 2012. The format is DVD, Region 4 (PAL).

The Puella Magi Madoka Magica manga series is also available in Australia through the English-language editions published and distributed by Yen Press.

Broadcasting on ABC3

abc3 announced that it would be airing Puella Magi Madoka Magica on January 6, 2013, in the primetime 8:15pm slot. Peculiarly, abc3 listed the show as a children's program and rated it PG, despite the DVD release being classified as Mature.
