- Gengen Kusano first watched Puella Magi Madoka Magica during its original run in 2011[1], and wrote several analysis posts about Rebellion for his blog in 2013.
- He enjoys science fiction, yuri and widescreen baroque genres, and considers the Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime to be the work that came the closest to being all three[2].
