The Doppel of suffering.
Its form is a happy statue.
The master of this emotion shares in all the pain of the ones she loves and takes it on as her own. The pain then takes the shape of jewels, which decorate the Doppel and add to its power. However, as the Doppel cannot move, it cannot avoid attacks, and though it carries a sword and shield, they are there for decorative purposes only.

A Magical Girl who is struggling to figure out what she can do to make everyone happy. She grew up knowing little of the outside, which is why she tries so hard to keep up with others. Skilled at finding the good in people, she dislikes no one. Touka and Nemu are her close friends, and Iroha is her sister.

The following is a summary posted on 4chan's /pmmm/ general by Summary Anon Part 1Ui enjoys school but gets stuck when she has to hand in her assignment on what she wants to be in the future. Unlike Touka and Nemu who respectively have talked with University Dean and Publisher already, she thinks she is not as gifted as them and worries about her future. The feeling is strengthened when she realized her new friend, Riko has decided to inherit her parents' bento shop, and even Tsukasa is thinking of taking over her dad's workshop. While she is counselled by Yachiyo and Iroha that they are also uncertain what they want to do and Ui is being too hasty, Felicia is obviously unhappy as the attention is being taken away. Part 2Hazuki and Nanaka team up with Ui and educate her in how to defeat witches, allowing her to score a victory against the witch and being given the grief seed as a reward. Touka and Nemu tag along and congratulate Ui. As the two leave after giving words of advice and encouragement, Kako, Felicia and Ayame appear and lure Ui to an open field to 'play'. Kako tries to stop the duo but to no avail while Touka and Nemu tagged along since they smell something fishy. Long story short, Felicia and Ayame are jealous that Ui is taking the attention from their sister away and challenged her to a fight after Touka and Nemu see through their lies that they want Ui to be independent. Ui accepts the challenge to prevent the argument from escalating, but before the fight can begin, Sana and Iroha arrive at the scene. It seems Sana discovered Felicia was up to no good, so she informed Iroha and came to the scene. After learning everything from Kako, Iroha reprimands the kids on how they have agreed and promise not to use their powers for inner conflicts and also scold Nemu and Touka since she knew they would provoke people. The kids gets a very long lecture from Iroha that lasts from the afternoon to evening, and eventually the kids apologize and make up with a handshake. Back home, Ui expresses her admiration for her sister and Yachiyo for being able to handle such a situation. Iroha can tell her sister is still troubled, so after some prodding, she had her open up. Iroha tells Ui that she is aiming to be a nurse, not only because of her experience in taking care of the trio, but also because she respects them for their professionalism and kind heart. She informs Ui that she used to dream of becoming a baker, police etc. since she admires how hard and serious they take their job. She concludes that experiences shape a person, and Ui should not have such a low self esteem, and should instead experience the world more where she will eventually find her dream from these experiences. Ui is comforted by her sister and gave her heartfelt thanks. Part 3Ui heads back to the hospital she stayed at and recalls how she became friends with Touka and Nemu. When they first meet, Touka liked to provoke and insult people as she looks down on them while Nemu cried when things didn't go her way. Ui experienced the blunt of their antics. But as they became closer, both changed for the better, Touka became gentler and more thoughtful while Nemu learned to accept other people's opinion. Things changed better when Iroha could visit on her own as she entered Middle school. As she get lost in her memories, she sees her doctor and the two catch up. The doctor is so touched Ui can think of the future that she cried tears of joy, and tells Ui what she should do is take in deeper breaths and enjoy life for now and not hurry. Ui informs the doctor that Touka and Nemu have already found their goal in life, and thus she also wants to follow up. The doctor advised Ui to think of something she likes since some choose their interest for a career. Ui thinks hard and realized she loves the choir since its success depends greatly on group effort and songs as it moves people. The doctor continues to prod Ui and how she wants to express this interest, and she realizes she wants to be a music teacher. She shares this with her family and friends, and will work hard for this future. |

 Ui meets Touka and Nemu on the beach, who is still in a wheelchair. A flashback shows how when the three girls were at the Satomi Medical Center, Ui shows Touka and Nemu a postcard of the ocean that her father got her on his last business trip. The three girls promise that they will then go to the ocean when they leave the hospital. And they show how in their imagination the girls imagined playing in the ocean, however, in the present Touka and Nemu lament that that is not possible now for Nemu because he was left in a wheelchair after his fight against Alina Gray. Nemu says not to worry about her and go swimming, but Touka refuses her and calls her stupid for not understanding that he doesn't want to leave her. The two begin to argue but Ui calms them down, saying that she understands Touka's feelings, and that is why she brought a camera that Yachiyo had lent her. Ui says that with the Nemu camera you can take photos to save memories of them all together and even add her words to the photos you take. Nemu thanks Ui as she and Touka go to the ocean to have Nemu take photos of them. A few days later, in the Minaginagi district, Nemu shows the photos she took of Ui and Touka, revealing that the words she placed on the last photo she took said: "Having summer fun with you from outside the lens."
 Iroha comes by to pick up Ui after she finished helping out as a shrine maiden, with plans to go shopping with the rest of their group. When asked for any requests, Ui can't think of anything that she would want from the store, but Iroha is certain that there is something, and gives her sister a sum of money from their mother, who also gave Ui her kimono. Just as she wonders if it's a bit much, Yachiyo and the others arrive, all in their own kimonos. Hoping to find something she'd like from the sales, Ui is eager to go, even with Yachiyo warning her that it will be crowded. The mall was indeed packed, with chatters overlapping one another. Ui seems to be handling it well, but when she tries to remind her sister of the sneakers that she wanted, Iroha noticed that Ui was avoiding the area she wanted to go to. Turns out, Ui is not worried about the crowd itself, but rather the possibility of getting her kimono dirty or wrinkled, considering that it was a gift from her mother. However, Iroha reminds her of the a call she had with her mom, who explained that her kimono was made especially warm, and easy to move around in, while also telling Ui to enjoy herself. This brings Ui's confidence back, and she quickly heads to the store full of cute accessories, bags, and shoes that matched her sister's, with Iroha giggling as she follows close behind.
 As the evening gets colder, Iroha and Ui decide to hold hands and walk home, but when their hands make contact, they both receive a static shock, briefly startling them. Not wanting to get zapped again, Ui goes to Touka for advice, who explains the basics about static electricity within the human body, and points out that there are some products that can help reduce this effect. Intrigued, Ui later goes to a 100 Yen shop, in hopes of finding one of these said products for a low price. Unfortunately though, she wasn't the only one with that idea, as all the entire stocks of these items were sold out within a short period of time. Ui goes outside to sulk, when she bumps into Iroha, who shows that she managed to buy the last two wristbands. Now able to hold hands again, Ui laughs happily, reflecting that she and her sister often think the same things. |
