The master of this emotion views her Doppel coldly, as it puts on air of elegance, yet becomes ugly in order to fulfill its desires. This Doppel is not only well aware of its luxurious beauty, but seems to think of its own status as a free pass to indulge itself. It lacks self-control as a result, and exhausts every possible means available to grasp that which interests it. Its attachment to things it has never seen before is particularly tenacious. However, it has a habit of fulfilling its desires via its appetite, and shoves everything that interests it right into its stomach. As such, it seems that this Doppel has only ever learned the taste of those targets of interest.

この感情の主は、キレイな佇まいをしながらも自身の欲求を満たすために醜くなるドッペルを冷ややかな目で見ている。このドッペルは自分が豪奢で美しいことを理解しているばかりか、自分自身が免罪符だと思っている様子。そのため自制が効かず、興味を持ったものは“あの手この手”を尽くして手に入れようとする。特に初めて見るものへの執着は強い。だが、欲求を腹で満たすクセがあり、気になったものを胃の中に入れてしまう。よってこのドッペルは、自分が興味を持った対象の味しか覚えていないらしい。

 Encounters with destiny can be sudden, and cruel, giving you little to no time to prepare. That is the lesson that Yuuna learned, starting with ordering her usual blend 18 at the cafe she regularly goes to. Turns out, that also is a preference of none other than Mami Tomoe, who just so happens to be sitting at the next table over. Immediately starstruck, Yuuna freezes up for a moment, but manages to keep calm as she adds onto their small talk conversation about their similar choices of tea. It is then that she realizes that she forgot to introduce herself, and does so, though she needs no introduction from Mami herself. At school, Yuuna excitedly tells Hotori and Rion about the encounter, and how they promised to chat more the next time they met. Rion is impressed that Yuuna kept a level head while meeting her idol, and Hotori then asks if she bought some extra tea from the cafe. Yuuna confirms this, even though she has a supply at home. Since it was a gift for their school’s annual hospital party. The next day, Rion and Hotori arrive at the Satomi Medical Center, with Yuuna running a little behind due to having her father drive her there. The trio is fondly greeted by young children, who have unfortunately ended up in hospice care. Yuuna presents the nurse with an artificial flower arrangement, precautionary of any potential health concerns, along with tea and cookies for everyone to share, going as far as checking to make sure that everyone would be able to have milk tea. As the children thank them, one particular girl appears to recognize Yuuna, claiming that she once saved her family, and used magic. Yuuna is puzzled, as she has no memory of this child. The girl continues by saying that she was saved by a magic ribbion, and that she was given tea and cookies when she cried. The Magical Girl also suggested making milk tea, as it would be easier to drink. It is only when she mentions that her savior wore a hat, that Yuuna realizes that the girl was actually saved by Mami, and mistook her for her own idol. A little later, Yuuna plays piano as the children sing along. The young girl’s parents mention that it is the first time that their daughter sung so boldly, as she was usually very shy. Hotori and Rion decide to question the parents about the previously mentioned incident. It is revealed that the girl is the only one that remembers what actually happened, as they had all fallen unconscious, but the family would still like to meet the person that saved them, and show their appreciation. During snack time, Yuuna is troubled by the misunderstanding, and wants to one day clear up the confusion without crushing the girl’s spirits. As the children drag her into their game, Yuuna laments that she was never able to do so. At the end of the event, the children bid the trio goodbye, and the girl looking up to Yuuna requests for her to bring the same tea and cookies for the next party, which just so happens to be on Valentine’s Day. On February thirteenth, Yuuna runs into Mami at the cafe again, and as promised, the two sit down for a proper chat. Yuuna starts off by apologizing as she tells Mami about the young girl and her misunderstanding. Mami doesn’t mind though, and is happy that the girl has formed an attachment to Yuuna, believing her to be a good person. Briefly awestruck, Yuuna thinks back on the flower arrangement that she gave the other day, comparing herself to those artificial flowers, while she sees Mami as the real flower. Mami notices her uncertainty, and suggests telling her once the two have spent more time together. However, as the two talk about cookie gifts, Yuuna gets a notification. The girl’s condition had suddenly took a turn for the worst, and she wanted to see Yuuna. Understanding the gravity of the situation, Mami urges Yuuna to go see her, but she is worried that she will be taking Mami’s place as her hero. Mami tells her that she is not a replacement, and that only she can answer to her name being called. Yuuna has a moment of awakening, as someone actually needs her alone, not her high and wealthy status. Yuuna calls a butler of her’s to get her to the medical center asap. In the hospital, the girl is going in and out of consciousness. Just as she asks again for Yuuna, a helicopter approaches and lands at the hospital. When Yuuna disembarks, a nurse hurriedly escorts her to the room, making it just in time. Yuuna greets the girl with a warm smile, gives her the tea and cookies as promised, and stays with her, until the very end. Some time later, Hotori and Rion silently accompany Yuuna as she visits the young girl’s grave. It begins to snow as Yuuna finds the girl’s parents, and gives them a bouquet of real flowers. She begins to cry as she imagines that the girl must have wanted to live longer, but the mother assures her that her daughter was so grateful to have met her, and it was because of her, that she was able to smile until the end. Once more, Yuuna returns to the cafe, vowing that she will not forget that there are people who will need only her. The barista does by to take her order. Yuuna initially orders her usual blend 18, but changes her mind, and decides to instead have milk tea. |
