- Did the game (or other source) specifically indicates that it is a church and not a cathedral? If it did it would make a lot of difference... --Mutopis 11:28, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
- Look up the definition of a cathedral and you'll understand why it doesn't fit. --randomanon 11:35, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
- the principal church of a diocese, containing the bishop's official throne Is this why? --Mutopis 11:37, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
- I seriously hope you don't need confirmation on understanding a definition. --randomanon 11:46, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
- I just want to make sure we are making these changes based on clear information. As far as I understand a "church" is loosely applied to any non-denomiational (Christian) religion, while a Cathedral is used specifically and only in those denomination with an episcopal hierarchy, such as the Roman Catholic, Anglican, Orthodox, and some Lutheran and Methodist churches. The Cathedral is (usually) the biggest church in the diocese. It is the seat of the bishop of that diocese, and usually in the biggest city or part of that diocese. The reason I was wondering, if Kyoko's father was in charge of a Cathedral, it would mean he was part of a episcopal hierarchy (likely Anglican), making it very important as it housed the Bishop of the city, but I doubt it since nothing in the anime indicates it was that important, so it could just be a church... --Mutopis 11:59, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
- Kyoko refers to it as a church (教会) in the game. Now can we be done with this topic?--randomanon 12:32, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
