Is there any point in using this on references that dont use quotes? The title of the work is always in the episode/chapter/story title anyway, I can only see this template being useful to make sure quotes are uniform but it just overcomplicates other references. - TheresaFrog421 (talk) 17:37, 3 October 2026 (UTC)
- At first I thought it was a good idea to include work in addition to episode/chapter/story, but I'm starting to think just use
{{Cite/Work|work=<episode/story/chapter>}}might be a better idea after converting Magical Girls. -- 0x99 (talk) 17:47, 3 October 2026 (UTC)- Done. Do you think this is better? Now it's only used to make sure that format is uniform, so just
{{Cite/Work|[[Work being cited]]}}in most cases (admittedly it didn't save much typing versusShown in ''[[Work being cited]]'') but now we have a unified format). -- 0x99 (talk) 17:59, 3 October 2026 (UTC)- Yeah its less cluttered. I can see the argument that references shouldnt always say "Shown in" in cases where its told instead, do you think that distinction is important enough? Im conflicted cause yeah I believe its important but I think its too much of a hastle to separate them. - TheresaFrog421 (talk) 18:07, 3 October 2026 (UTC)
- I've changed this to "Spoken line in" when quote exist (I can't think of better wording). What do you think? -- 0x99 (talk) 18:10, 3 October 2026 (UTC)
- That's actually very nice, Im editing a quote rn and saw the Spoken Line thing popup and got ready to go back on what I said lol. - TheresaFrog421 (talk) 18:16, 3 October 2026 (UTC)
