Template talk:Magia Exedra Enemy Stats

I don't know how to make it look good. Idk if it should be more like our Kioku template or more like the Record description cards, cause I think the cards would look good, but I don't want to just copy the Magireco wiki. - TheresaFrog421 (talk) 11:09, 26 May 2026 (UTC)

I definitely can't say it looks good in its current state, though it's not terrible either. Some thoughts:

• The tabs are awful. The core problem is that there's no way to tell how many there are, so it seems broken when you try to click on the next tab and it turns out it doesn't exist.
• Is there any point in using fancy graphical effects on the name? The name is also shown twice. It's also only shown in runes, so we can't see the actual name in plain text.
• That's a lot of space reserved for an emblem that doesn't even exist for a lot of enemies.

For the tabs I have planned to have the tabs be colored, so theyre visible (the class is in the code, just commented out, its ugly though so beware), I still believe these pages should show all of the sprites, so if you have a different idea of how to then try it.

For the fancy names, I'd rather keep them. Like you mention, they're kinda redundant in the Witch cases, but imo the Uwasa enemies should definitely have them, they're really unique.

About the emblem, yeah... I don't really know what else to do there really (and the emblem is 100% staying, just maybe not there), should we style it more like the Witch Cards where that space is for the description? I wasn't even suggesting removing the emblem, but many enemies don't even have one, and that huge area is just going to be empty in that case. The current version is far less bad than it was before, but here's another possiblity: it looks like there's some space left in the central column – you could try moving the emblem there? ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 12:58, 28 May 2026 (UTC)

Okay its been a while, about the emblem, I put it below and I like it there honestly. I think its almost done, all that has to be done is to add categories and... somehow make it compatible with dark mode, I've tried it on the css page, and it just didn't work??? Can you change it so that it does work, or will it have to be done on the normal page (like |class'smth' style='border-color:light-dark()'). Also should we have those "For the character, see #. There's nothing I can do about the Sanitized CSS's refusal to recognize newer CSS features like light-dark, so you'll have to do it on the mage in a style attribute. The only other possibility would be requesting 0x99 to update the extension and hoping it's allowed in the newer version (which isn't even guaranteed). ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 21:55, 29 May 2026 (UTC)

Forgot to add- I think we should display these like we do right now with kioku and units, obviously not on Witch in Magia Exedra pages, just on the normal pages like we plan on doing with the Kioku and units. Should it be in a separate template or should we just reuse Template:Magia Record Game Info and Template:Magia Exedra Game Info? It seems obvious that it should be separate, but if there's a version of a magical girl that's enemy-only, it would display it under the units (and obv if the put in character has no enemy versions of themself, none will show up, and vice versa with no playable versions). - TheresaFrog421 (talk) 18:09, 28 May 2026 (UTC)

I think the card looks very good, but the "For the character" section and Appearances hoenstly look awkward with them, those sections don't appear on the character pages so its not that important but I think it should be adjusted, I just don't know how. Also- if those cards get put on the Witch/other pages, should we delete the original Exedra Cards there? Obviously some like Suleika should keep them as that's their only card, but I mean Witches that have a lot of them. - TheresaFrog421 (talk) 09:38, 30 May 2026 (UTC)

Other appearances

Right now the Appearances accounts for the enemies appearances in Main Quests, Exedra Quest and Events by just looking for those pages and looking if they link to the enemy. Is there any way to also get in other appearances like Link Raids, Exedra Crisis and Mirror Layers in there with a dpl? And I don't just mean making pages for those modes and if they link to the enemy, the appearances will confirm that they appear there. I mean directly where they appear in those modes, without creating separate pages for each Link Raid event and Mirror Layer. I'm worried about this because of Enemies that might be exclusive to those modes in the future, I mean Echo II is already exclusive to the Upgrade Quests and has nothing in their appearance section, and from what I've seen, Alina Eve in Record only appeared in a Kimochi Raid, which is similar to what I'm describing. - TheresaFrog421 (talk) 09:12, 1 June 2026 (UTC)

Off the top of my head, I guess the best way to get that info with DPL would be the "find pages using a template and extract one of its arguments" method? There are a great deal of details missing from that description, but… that argument could contain information like the layer they appear on. I got something like that working on my page, it uses the little block template just with a hidden parameter, it's kinda messy and could probably be made better... but it works. The last thing to do is get specific pages for those to be on, maybe smth like Magia Exedra/Gameplay/Link Raid, Magia Exedra/Gameplay/Exedra Crisis and Magia Exedra/Gameplay/Tower? - TheresaFrog421 (talk) 15:29, 1 June 2026 (UTC)
