Description

A Magical Girl who lives in Takarazaki City. Kuroe fights alongside Iroha from time to time, but mostly they're acquaintances who get together on a regular basis to exchange information. Kuroe is afraid of fighting in life or death battles and wishes she could be saved from being a Magical Girl. She begins to become obsessed with Kamihama City after hearing a certain rumor.

History in Animation

• In the first season, Kuroe knows Iroha Tamaki when they fight Box Wood together to rescue a cat. On the second day, Kuroe goes to Kamihama with Iroha. She doesn't appear afterwards until a brief cut in the last episode. Iroha calls her several times in episode 2, but not answered.
• Kuroe joins Wings of Magius as a black feather. In episode 15, she got a task to find rumor of eternal sakura and to protect Iroha from Nemu Hiiragi.
• Kuroe 'connects' with Yachiyo in episode 16. That makes Yachiyo's spear's shape slightly changed.
• Kuroe can build walls. This might be her ability.
  • In episode 17, she builds a wall so Iroha and Rena can fixate doppel of Kaede onto it.
  • In episode 18, she builds a wall to give Iroha some time to exit.
• Kuroe shows her transformation sequence and doppel form in episode 18.
  • Kuroe's doppel form has some similarity to Akemi Homura's transformation in episode 12 of Madoka Magica.
• In episodes 19 and 20, her doppel turns into a form of a magical girl and remains her not to forget about it.

Etymology

• The first kanji in her name means "black". The second kanji means "creek"

Trivia

• Kuroe's magical girl form looks a lot like Iroha's magical girl outfit. Both wear cloaks that cover part of their hair and extends to their hip height, and both of them bare their midriff.
  • The image of girl that Kuroe's doppel transforms into also wearing a cloak somewhat like Iroha's.
• Her name, her magical girl form and her description has given birth to speculation that she may be Kuro. In addition, both become Black Feathers, and both made wishes having to do with the person they liked.
  • However, in Magia Report, Kuroe and Kuro are treated as different characters.
• She shares a voice actress with Nadeko Sengoku.
