These are updates, events, competitions, and promotions for the Madoka Magica Online game.

Recent Events

  • 11/12: Login once everyday between 11/12 ~ 11/19 to receive AP potions
    • For each day login : 1 AP potion(max 8 pots for daily login)
    • For every 3 days login: 1 Weapon QB fodder card
    • Ex: 6 days login will net you 6 AP pots and 2 QB fodder card
  • 11/9: Receive QB Fodder cards for Skill cards, by doing Co-op twice per day for the weekend (Friday 2100 ~ Sunday 2359 JST)
    • Receive one skill card fodder card for each day (max 3 cards)
    • Friday Co-op only opens for 3 hours (2100~2359) so don't miss it.
  • 11/9: The Level 40 R Special Attack Skillcard event has been extended to until the Maintenance of 11/21
  • 11/6: The R-Sayaka with hairpin event is extended to 11/14
    • The probability of rolling the 6 cards will also be increased after 11/7 maintenance.
    • Those who already collected all the cards by 11/7 maintenance will be counted as having cleared the event, and won't need to keep the cards until 11/14.
  • 11/5: Level up maximum 3 of any of the R meguca special attack cards to level 40.
    • Needs to be different megucas to count. Rewards:
      • Level up 1 card to level 40 -> Lvl 1 SS stat card (Mami with lots of coc.. birds)
      • Level up 2 cards to level 40 -> Lvl 30 SS stat card
      • Level up 3 cards to level 40 -> Lvl 30 SS stat card + Lvl 30 SS Musket

  • 11/3: (10/10~10/24) PvP point event rewards have been distributed. May godoka bless you all with your plat rollings.
  • 11/2: [pay2win]Roll plat 10 times to get coins and purples, 50 times to get SS homu with a dog stat card.
  • 11/2: Defeat bosses to get extra rewards once a day;
    • You get rewarded once a day for each type of witch you defeat until Nov14:
      • All normal stage bosses - 8k coins + 20 browns
      • A-X(normal/変異 difficulty) - 10k + 10 purples
      • A-X(medium/亜種 difficulty) - 15k + 20 purples
      • A-X(hard/深化 difficulty) - 20k + 30 purples
      • Prizes are cumulative, so you could be rewarded a maximum of 53k + 20browns + 50purples per day.
      • If you defeat all three versions of Gertrud in A-world and Oktavia in 8-5 every day until the 14th, you'll get the full reward.

  • 10/26:Confirmation that the PvP point reset/point count for the current event is extended to 11/14. Good luck!
  • 10/24:PvP event; A little change in rewards for individual PvP points. Get S-Homura (5000 points) and S-Kyouko (10000 points). Refer to Madoka Magica Online Events for other rewards.

Maintenance History

Maintenance Changes: 10/31


  • The QB box contents were changed:
    • Special box:
      • S stat cards added: Homura looking over her shoulder, Kyoko looking over her shoulder, and Madoka, Mami, and Sayaka sitting together while everyone except Mami is holding a cat-like creature.
      • Two new dresses
      • A white hair ribbon
      • S musket: Beautiful Singing Nymph (Up to 3595 ATK)
    • Platinum box:
      • Halloween Homura SS character card
      • U sword (Up to 7800 ATK)
      • SS sword (UP to 6005 ATK)
      • Homura's outfit and headband, SS cat ears + tail combo, a new SS dress
  • Skill card fusion
    • Combine skill cards together the same way you combine weapons. Use the tabs in the combining screen to switch between weapon, skill card, and gem sections (gems are not implemented yet).
    • Upgrading special attack cards will increase their attack power and activation rates.
    • Stat cards can be upgraded substantially; for example a 92 DEF card has 120 DEF at level 13
  • Special Attack card detailed info added
  • New stages 7 and 8
  • New difficulty special boss levels
    • Use the switch at the bottom of the screen to change between normal (daytime) and A-world (evening) modes.
    • Each A world has three difficulty levels: 変異 亜種 深化 (Normal, Medium, and Hard)


Maintenance Changes: 10/24


  • Changes in platinum and purple boxes:
  • Special "QB Fusion Fodder Cards" that will give extra EXP boost when used during fusion.
  • PvP point reset, new PvP point rewards for next reset.
  • The story of the quests will be able to be read again after clearing.
  • Confirmation pop-up when selling or fusing cards of S rarity or higher. Click the right button (はい)for yes.

Maintenance Changes: 10/17


  • Co-op has been implemented. A test took place in the first hours after maintenance, involving numerous disconnects. Co-op will open on 10/19 2100hrs until 10/21 2400hrs.
  • New special box cards have been added including bunny ears, dresses and stat cards.
  • Items stored in the gift tab with expiry date will be kept for 3 hours rather than 1.
  • The total ATK,HP and DEF of your whole party could be seen in your profile page.
  • Fix of the bazooka homuhomu RR skill card not activating.
  • Change of plat and purple box content 10/17, removal of the cards below;
    • Platinum box: Halloween madoka, hat and dress.
    • Purple box: The annoying gym clothes series.


Maintenance Changes: 10/10


  • Purple tickets will be changed to "special" tickets, other than the name change, the new tickets will not be sold at the cash shop.
  • Platinum ticket box content changes
  • New rarity class above SS ; rarity class U
  • PvP system renewal
    • The pvp points and rank will be reset every 2 weeks
    • Rewards according to the pvp points every 2 weeks
    • Increase of the maximum pvp point limit
  • Increase of the maximum number of cards per category from 30 to 50
  • Status buff for clothes and accessories cards (yay!)
    • They won't swap the ones we already have. You have to gamble for them, again.


Maintenance Changes: 10/3


  • 10/03: Drop rates for SS and S items have been increased to 3x for the purple box and 5x for the platinum box.

Maintenance Changes: 9/26

New cards added during the 9/26 maintenance. (Not including weapons)


  • New cards added to the boxes
    • Purple Box: A SS spear, new S weapons, pig ears and nose(for mami), blue gothic dress.
    • Platinum Box: A super strong AA spear, new all stat cards of the characters, cat tail and ears
  • Daily login stamp: You'll get bonuses including coins, limited tickets, and platinum tickets for logging in every day.
  • Level cap increased to 60.
  • Weapon level cap increased to 60 for SS and 50 for S.
  • Extra stages 5 and 6 featuring Patricia and Izabel.
  • Various limited cards have been removed.
    • The purple box will no longer drop the SS sword, bikinis, or S stat cards with the girls relaxing.
    • The platinum box will no longer drop the SS bikini characters, the yukata pair cards, or the girls with animals cards.
  • The roll rates for the S and SS cards from the boxes have returned to their old rates.

Past Events

  • 11/6: The R-Sayaka with hairpin event is extended to 11/14

  • 10/26: Addition of brown tickets to the rewards for defeating A-X stage.
  • 10/26:IDs that undergo rollback will receive 25 AP pots, others 2 pots on 10/31.
  • 10/26: Scheduled temporary maintenance on 10/29 for 3 hours (1100~1400)
  • 10/25:Game data rollback had been done to those involved in the free platinum ticket incident
    • IDs that was involved may not be able to login, due the rollback process not yet over. The time when login will be possible will be informed by email at a later date.

  • 10/25:Some people accidentally obtained large amounts of Platinum tickets due to a mistake by the devs. Maintenance done for damage control.
  • 10/24:Chance for getting U and SS weapon cards from Platinum box are doubled.
  • 10/24:[pay2win]Spend cash points to get rewards (coobie fodder cards).
  • 10/24:[pay2win]Receive lvl 30 RR weapon for spending more than 500 cash points.
  • 10/24:Co-op event; receive 20k coins once a day for doing co-op more than twice a day.
    • Receive 1 QB special fusion fodder card for doing co-op at least once until 10/30.
    • Coobie fodder card gives EXP boost during fusion. Example SS lvl 1 -> lvl 10 using the single card.
  • Refer to 10/24 maintenance changes box below.
  • 10/24: Those who were online 1 hour before maintenance starts received 1 AP as compensation. This is because some that were kicked in the middle of a quest were unable to continue the quest post-maintenance.
  • 10/22: Good news to those still keeping their Platinum tickets; you will get 2 AP pots and 5000 coins for every time you roll for a maximum of 5 times, each day for 3 days until the maintenance. You will also get extra rewards for 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 rolls.
  • 10/22: Get purples for clearing the A-X stages once every day until 10/26.
  • 10/19: PvP progress update: See the Top player rankings and points/placement table.
  • 10/19: Play co-op three times each day this weekend to get bonus coins (20k-60k depending on how often you play).
  • 10/19: Twitter event for co-op.
  • 10/19: Some people may experience trouble with their PvP list, they are working on that.
  • 10/19: If you are on Rose and playing in a quest halfway during the Thursday maintenance, the quest data is lost. For that all Rose players playing before maintenance will get 1 AP pot. 2nd Co-op test run had been done with more disconnects and sufferings.
  • 10/18: Another chance at the S nailbat: gather certain Sayaka cards.
    • Sayaka holding a normal bat and smiling (RR skill card)

  • 10/06: The inventory capacity will be increased from 30 to 50 on 10/10.
  • 10/05: The 3rd Magical Girl Power Ranking will take place on 10/10.
  • 10/05: The Sayaka Rabu event concluded. The strongest Sayaka had 5277 ATK, and belonged to 杏子養い隊総隊長 on Rose. Rose also had the highest combined Sayaka power with 1,090,516 ATK server-wide.
  • 10/05: Log in every day from 10/6 to 10/10 to get pig ears.
    • Get 10,000 coins for logging in at least 3 of those days.
  • 10/05: Items will be awarded based on PVP points at the start of maintenance on 10/10.
    • 4000-5000 points: 9 platinum tickets
    • Rewards for finishing in other point ranges vary as listed on the official site
    • Items will be distributed on 10/17.

  • 10/03: A bug is causing some Ben'nu spears to have too much attack, and they will be corrected in a future maintenance.
  • 10/03: A variety ticket campaign will award prizes for opening the brown Kyubey BOX many times.
    • 50 times: 30,000 coins
    • 100 times (total, the first 50 count): Get a level 30 N nail bat weapon.
    • 200 times: Get a magic formula handgun S weapon.
    • 300 times: Get a devil wings and tail S accessory.
    • The event lasts from 10/3 to 10/10. Rewards will be distributed on 10/17.
  • 10/03: A level up campaign will give rewards for reaching levels 13, 18, and 23 between 10/3 and 10/17.

  • 10/04: Game balance will be adjusted in the near future.
    • The staff is aware that the 30 card inventory limit is too small, but cannot change it yet due to server load.

    • For every additional 100 times you open it after that, you'll get another copy of the musket.
    • Every time you buy the 33-pack of platinum tickets, you'll get 30,000 coins. Buying the 3-pack 11 times will not count.

  • 9/28 update: Another platinum card campaign, get extra items when you roll the platinum box. The number of rolls is accumulative (you cannot get the same reward twice).
    • 1 roll = 1 AP Potion
    • 5 rolls = 1 AP Potion
    • 10 rolls = 1 AP Potion + 3 Platinum tickets
    • Consequent 10 rolls = 6 Platinum tickets

    • Exp from quests has been increased. Each gives 2 more than the previous level in the same world and bosses give +20, so 4-5 now gives 150 exp and 4-4 gives 136.[2]
    • All players registered between 9/11 and 9/26 will receive 30000 coins for upgrading weapons.[Presents will be distributed 9/27]
  • 9/21 update : Level caps for weapons will be increased on September 26 to 60 for SS, 50 for S, and 40 for R and RR. A 30SS 2925ATK weapon can become 60SS 5350ATK, and a 30S 2010ATK can become 50S 3110ATK.[3]
