Why is this theory debunked? I have a pretty bad memory but I can't recall what in episode 6 disproved it, especially with all the entropy talk in Episode 9 (depending on how we interpret it, the entropy might be the "dark energy" OP talked about). :TBH, I had the exact same feeling - "why is it debunked", but then I read points 3 and 4 carefully. This speculah says that the Soul Gem is some kind of a proxy of the soul, or a "firewall" blocking the actual soul from corruption. As of ep6, we know that it's not true, because the Soul Gem actually ''is'' the soul.
