:All those things are pretty much standard package for every magical girl. Their bodies are enhanced, they can use magic to heal their imperfections and bolster their strengths. Well, even so, it has nothing to do with why Homura said that. When Madoka makes a wish, she inevitably ends up dead or as a witch. Mami inevitably seems to die. Sayaka inevitably loses her friends and then turns into a witch. Kyouko actively lost everything she cared about because of her wish. Homura lost her entire first life because of her wish, and then lost time and time again all of her friends. She has all the reason in the world to say that contracting with Kyubey makes you lose in the end.

Layout and stuff

Continued from Speculah talk:Human Soul and Magic. I will probably make a template out of these annotations so that we can tag the other wishes easily whenever they appear in canon. Regarding the symbols in the table of contents, I don't know what we can do about it ... Is it a way to manually set the ToC entry, like in LaTeX? Anyway, that doesn't look too annoying to me (you can see in one instant which wishes are confirmed and which aren't).
Last change I plan is to add a big spoiler alert on top of the page, and remove the small spoiler tags from the text (after all, just showing which wishes have been granted is spoilerish by itself).

On second thought, I think I'm gonna do that tomorrow (unless someone else does it in the meantime); too tired right now. --Homerun-chan 23:48, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

Homura's Wish

Should it be noted that the "if you do, you'll lose everything" wish theory more or less came about as a side effect of her actual wish? She DID become the cool, smart, confident, athletic, powerful girl admired by everyone she wanted to be (I don't think it's a stretch to say that TL1 Homura felt embarrassed about her shortcomings and wanted to be cooler on some level), it just came about as a consequence of horrible circumstances forcing Homura to reforge herself.71.232.114.229 23:07, 1 April 2011 (UTC)Anon
